Just watched 12 episodes of series 6, it's on the downfall me thinks, a shame though.

    Still my fave tv show!

Downfall? No way! I was just saying to someone the other day how I thought that after 6 seasons it would be getting old but its still comedy gold if you ask me! I love it. I'm up to date with the US too but always go back and watch them through in order too.

I just meant the 6th season hasn't been as good as the previous ones mate. There are bits of comedy gold in there still though yes!

After watching this for a few weeks on E4, I used to watch it quite often years ago, decided to order S1 and S2 on DVD the other day, managed to watch them and Season 3 in like 4 days now xD Found an awesome site with like every episode available for streaming =D

            Anyone been watching season 8?

It's quite different to previous seasons in a lot of ways. Higher focus on interns, more 'drama', and a lot of guest stars and some returning faces

Yeah, we Irish are fairly well into season 8 now. After two seasons that had me declaring the show dead, this season is a massive return to form. So much funnier and fresh, something that must have been really difficult as the show had felt jaded. I'm really liking it.

In fact, that seems really rare. Usually when a show goes downhill, that's usually the end of it. It never comes back. It also shows it's not just the audience getting too familiar. It wasn't us, it was them.

A great final season, if indeed it does end here.

I think it could work as a revival. Same basic premise, but new characters, new stories, new direction. The idea of trainee doctors and a slightly dark comedy about their training is fundamentally a good setting.

                        It did not end here.

I rewatched the entire run recently and, overall, it was brilliant. But that final season was a bit of a stinker. It was close to being good but didn't make it, mostly because it wasn't quite old Scrubs and wasn't quite new Scrubs. It couldn't settle on what it wanted to be. A reboot could very easily fall into the same trap.

                        But there is potential.
