    Hollywood Hot Wheels: Round 39

    WELCOME TO:

    HOLLYWOOD HOT WHEELS: ROUND 38

One last pre-Xmas round looking at the industries most recognisable vehicles covering all manners of iconic designs from film, tv and gaming, their history and what you think of them.

Each round will see three vehicles lined up for the showcase. Unlike the voting conducted in the other threads, here things are more cutthroat.

You each can only vote for a single design in each round, casting the other two to the scrapheap of Hollywood history.
Make your choice then tell us why you like or don't like each vehicle and why you voted for the one you did.

    VEHICLE 115 - 1968 Volkswagon T2A

Numerous originally, Dharma's vans were used to transport equipment and staff around the island. Years later one is discovered and restored to working order by the survivors of Lost. Other than the Dharma logo on the front of the vehicle they are pretty standard in design, marked out with their pastel blue hue.

    VEHICLE 117 - 1950 Mercury

The lead car from Stallone movie Cobra was based on a notoriously heavy vehicle so a lot of modification went into making it work for chase sequences. Four were used with three dedicated to stunt work. That stunt work in the film would see all three destroyed but the singular lead car survived. Stallone kept the car for himself but in 1994 it was stolen from him. Several years later Stallone was browsing the internet and stumbled on an online listing for the vehicle, $250,000 later it returned to his hands and remains there today.

    VEHICLE 116 - Harley Davidson

Take your pick from the two designs, the Easy Rider movie had four leads. Two being the actors and the other two being the Harley Davidsons they rode on. Four of each were made for the film with most stolen soon after, one of the legitimate originals was auctioned a few years back.

1950's Mercury, simply because it looks like a pig with those massive nostrils.
