    BPX098: The Greatest Non-CU Superhero Movie

    We might live in an age of grand cinematic universe efforts featuring an array of superheroes but it wasn't always like that and we still get the occasional stand alone effort. Here we cast our eyes across the lineage of superheroes on screen and consider the qualities of those other releases. Included in the mix are the films that most caused disagreement over their inclusion in the CU polls so that they get an equal weighting with those concerns removed.

    My vote would be Unbreakable, but it's not in the list.
    Does it not make the criteria as it's not been in a comic or just didn't appear in the list you got these from?

    Some good films in that list, though!

        Okay, fair enough.
        I've voted for all the ones I've enjoyed.

        I say "enjoyed", but that bit where the woman gets sucked into the computer and turned into an android zombie in Superman III has haunted me all my life.

              Christopher Reeves’ Superman films 1 & 2 still amongst my favourite films of all time. 🦸🏻‍♂️

              Blade would have gotten a vote had I not missed it in the list, rewatched it recently. Not top-tier but still pretty damn good.

                It is super creepy for sure. That film has its moments as a more comedic spin off.
