Yeah, about time something actually happened. First 2 seasons had development, since then bugger all has really happened. Sure, he has had a kid in that time, bits and pieces, but it's been round and round in circles. This season has been really boring.

I suspect Louise is Dexter's nephew / icetruck killer's son. Maybe.

That really was a terrible season, so much potential to begin with then it all fizzled out. Hanks was pretty awful as the big bad though he could only work to the poor script and plot. Highlight of the season was Mos Def's character who was the best side character the show has done in years, and the last couple of seconds which is where the show should have ended last year.

Bad, but it sets up a good final series.

Yep pretty much echo what's already been said. Two more seasons are confirmed I believe Pete.

Debs swearing/character in general is probably the highlight of the show for me, she does make me crack up with lines like "f*** a brick" etc. Shame to see the two main characters are getting divorced in real life. Must make it tough for future episodes.

Anyone else watch Homeland, another Sunday evening show in the States which has just ended.

Two more seasons, hmm. They are running this show into the ground, if they can come up with a story as good as Trinity then it has the potential to be good again but they need to improve things quickly. I agree with Debs, she is a great character and with Dexter getting so sloppy (and getting away with it in increasingly stupid ways) she has become the best thing about the show!

I've been watching Homeland and have the final one tonight. Other than the worst opening title sequence I've ever seen I've actually quite enjoyed it, especially liked the two leads who have been well written and acted throughout.

Colin Hanks is getting on my nerves now. Guy needs to go to acting school. Everytime he walks into frame he frowns or looks annoyed just like smelling someone thats taken a massive ****. Whatever happened to his split personality.

Yep not often you see a ginger in a leading role lol, won't post anything else regarding Homeland until you've seen it.

I am – Hercules!! “Dexter” executive producer Sara Colleton tells TV Guide: We wanted to end it this year, but the network convinced us that it would be best to do it in two years. In some ways, this is a two-season series-ender. We have...

It's been reconfirmed that Season 7 and 8 will be the end for Dexter. Previous rumbles have suggested things will occur in Season 7 that set up Season 8 such as seeds of doubt for some characters that the Bay Harbour Butcher is dead.

I'm half-way through S03 now. Great stuff, really well written. Some of Dexter's narrated thoughts are class.

I'm a bit pissed off with

                  Doakes being killed off

though, he was my favourite character.

Just you get ready for S04! Awesomestuff! After that it kind of tails off – glad of the set up for Season 7 as it's about time it moved on and while I'll be sad to see it end in just two years, at least it guarantees some narrative progression.

Yeah, S04 was class. The guy who plays Trinity/Arthur is immense at pulling off being a bad guy psycho. He was in 'Ricochet' with Denzil Washington, and played a right bastard in that, too.

I especially loved the part where

Dexter has enough of Thanksgiving dinner and wraps his belt around Arthur's neck, dragging him into the kitchen and then pulling a knife on him.

                      Proper kick-off.

I might be alone in this but had S08 not been the last I think this is where I'd have quit watching. Since ep 5 it's been absolute crap. So many stupid drawn out scenes, lack of build up to a fitting end etc and only two eps left. Even if they pull off two stunners I feel deflated so its a whimper of an end for what at times has been an awesome show.

Yeah, feels like it's not the fitting send off at this point.

I still think Dexter meeting justice would have been a very interesting way to end it,

but there isn't time for that now.

The ending has been on the net for weeks so be careful when checking anything Dexter related. I'm all up to date with this weeks episode and yes indeed things have grinded to a halt with the action in the last six weeks for sure, must be his longest spell without killing anyone!

Hannah McKay could wrap me in clingfilm anytime. Debs too for that matter.

I reckon Dexter is about to just kill everyone for being so dumb at this point but is interupted and they're all gunned down in the last scene by a shock guest:

Anyone else seen this weeks episode yet?

One episode to go and it's going to be a corker.
