Well jel of you seeing Bruce Brad

I saw Pixies in Newcastle last Friday. One of my fave bands and it's the first time I've seen them They were so good.

I'm rubbish at updating this thread!

I also saw The Darkness, supported by Ash in March (Wolverhampton The Halls).
Ash were amazing and probably the band I've seen the most live as I try to see them when they tour nearby.
A proper greatest hits set with the fun new single "Jump in the Line" (which has a great Evil Dead video) at the end.

I love The Darkness. I remember seeing them in an arena before the split and I think they suit these medium to large venues a lot better as their interaction with the crowd is much more responsive. They had a few hits from new album, 'Dreams on Toast' and a mix of hits and album tracks for new and old fans. Love that they're getting some traction again.

A band I've been wanting to see for ages (and know Fuse had listened to) was Gnome (Birmingham The Asylum).
I don't normally succumb to pier pressure, but as the venue filled up, everyone was buying the red gnome hats from the merch stall, so I went and got some for me and my mates. It was pretty funny seeing everyone headbanging with these silly pointy hats on.

Probably the best gig of the year as it had that perfect vibe of being involved, fun, hot, loud and groovy riffs to take you away from it all.

Support band were Wall, who were this great, heavy doom band of 2 brothers. I've listened to their album, 'Brick by Brick' a few times since.

Amazing debut album. I feel the hits are front-loaded, so there was a sliiiight lull as they finished the last couple of closer tracks, but back on form for the encore of hits.

        Great night out!

Might be easier if this thread is made sticky QualityChimp?

I know I've struggled to post on here when it's been surprisingly hard to find at times.
