The Simpsons (and other C4) Censorship

Since when has C4 ever cared about offending anyone's sensibilities? I thought they were all about trying to be shocking and "edgy"?

Just watched the episode on C4 where Homer marries gay couples and noticed a dodgy edit.

What the cut out was Homer getting stubbed in the eye with a cigarette and screaming.

Not cut: Homer strangling Bart, etc. I guess some bored editor is just trying to make his sad life worthwhile by removing scenes to leave his mark and feel he's doing something worthwhile.

So you know how it goes, you're on high alert until the end of the show and basically have to question everything you're seeing. At least it's free TV and you can just ignore it...
