I was about to go "What, Iron Man?!" but I suppose, in terms of the general public, he is less known... Bring on the Forbush Man movie!

In Empire, the guy said whenever he goes to the states to check up on films, security'll usually ask what fillm he's checking out, and when he told them Iron Man, they didn't know who it was.

I've never read an Iron Man comics (or any comics really, for that matter, other than Beano and stuff when I was little) but I've always just known who he is, at least as far as recognising him if asked

As there is subtitled showing next Monday - should I go to cinema to see Ironman as I don't know anything about it.

Without a doubt, it is an origin movie so everything should be explained to you during the course of the film.

It's a great film go see it and as said, it is totally standalone, you don't need any Iron Man knowledge at all. All the characters are explained as they would be in any other new series of films.

It's true! I went in knowing that iron man is red and yellow, and that was it

I saw the film and it is much better than expected. Thumbs up to Robert Downey Jr for Tony Stark role. It is weird to see Gwyneth Paltrow in ginger thought. I think the big boss fight is too short.

                    I like Ironman.

I saw this tonight and, wow, this is how to make a superhero movie. I loved it. A really enjoyable movie, the tone was absolutely spot-on and the performances, particularly Downey Jr and Bridges, were just fantastic.

Now, y'all know how I like to find the negative in things so I should get some of my gripes out of the way.

                      Em....

                      Errr...

Okay, I have none. What a movie. I really enjoyed it.

Only just saw this myself! Really ace film and RDJ is fantastic in it, very charasmatic. Didn't recognize Bridges at first either, does a good bad guy.

My negative is Jon Favereu, a decent actor and director but a pet hate of mine is directors appearing in their own movies, I mean it's so up your own arse! (Don't get me started on M.Night. Shamamamamamamlalalal either)

The reason I didn't mind John Favreau in it was at first I was just thinking 'hey, it's that UFC guy from Friends' until a while later my mate told me he's the director, so for the rest of the film I was just thinking 'crikey, the guy from friends directed this!'.

I know what you mean about directors appearing in their own films, but it could've been worse

At least Favreau's part is really small in Iron Man. Shaymalan always gives himself quite an important role in terms of plot exposition.

                              That's very true that.

I like the way Favreau's character was going to be used

as the cover-up story, so in a way he was Ironman too.

                                .
