    For me that was

    just Don going back to the agency and making that ad, the smile at the end being him going back to ad world in his head. The guy he hugged basically described a coke ad too. At least that's how I took it.



    Overall, as I mentioned in the TV watching thread, I think the show lost all momentum as a result of the huge breaks between episodes. And the last season was very deliberately mundane. As for the ending, generally I felt it was fitting and in keeping with the show. But I felt the

    Stan and Peggy bit didn't feel natural and Don's end ultimately seemed to be him in the exact same cycle that we've seen a million times before. I think Don achieved growth in the series but not here. It was a season or two back when he accepted his past. So I didn't feel satisfied with Don's end. Maybe that was the point...
