I actually quite like the underlying music, but I'm not sure on the lyrics (I expected more Alicia Keys and less Jack White). Better than the Sheryl Crow effort anyway.

I actually like that. It's exactly how you imagine a Jack White penned Bond theme would sound. Shame about the parts sung by Alicia Keys she doesn't really belong in that song.

Wasn't sure which Bond thread to pick. Didn't want one that suggested I knew owt about the new movie, and this one has the most pictures of Barbara Bach in it...

Anyway, does anyone remember a diagram some wag had put together that mapped out the story beats that bond movies normally work to? ie 'Bond discovers clue', 'Bond kills main henchman' etc? Seem to think it was here on NTSC-UK that I found it...

Bond films are in their own genre. People expecting gritty realism will hate them. The reason they have always been popular is because they are pure fantasy - where everything is ridiculous.

Obviously, boring people, with no sense of fun, will look at the pre Daniel Craig films as a joke. That's their problem.

There wasn't a bad Bond before Daniel Craig appeared. Some people will like his two films - because they are so different to previous films. The producers decided to go down a more serious, gritty road with the franchise.

I like Connery's films. Moore was good. The Dalton films are all great. I really like the Brosnan films; with GoldenEye being the best by far.

The Living Daylights is one of my favorites, also the musical score is 110% top notch from start to finish, check it out its well worth it.
And the spy who loved me is great to as above have said, i have this avi in my docs called the_fking_nuts where he drives the car up out of the water onto the beach in this ultimate salute to pure cheese and awesomeness

I liked Octopussy, although I can't say the film's name without wincing. India was a cool location, the villains and henchmen were threatening and credible enough, and there was plenty of action.

                  Worst - Die Another Day.

I had trouble staying awake during Casino Royale. I've given up on bond pretty much, moore was the best. 'Roger Moore' haha.

Are 20th Century Fox taking over from cash-strapped MGM?

                      Source: We Are Movie Geeks

James Bond is finding a new home, and he?ll have Jedi and aliens to welcome him into the fold. For the last few weeks, movie goers have been curious as to what is going to become of some of MGM?s more prominent franchises. Over the last, couple of days, the company has entered into a forbearance agreement. The agreement expires in the middle of December, and, for now, ?The Hobbit? is safe and sound where it is. However, the company said nothing of the future of 007 adventures.

Well, fear not you shaken-not-stirred fanatics. A source close to the dealings has let We Are Movie Geeks know that Bond is alive and well, and will be settling into his new domicile for marketing and distribution at 20th Century Fox. That?s right, expect the official word to come out any day now, but it looks like ?Bond 23′ is going to be running behind the Fox banner.

Sony, who acquired MGM in 2004, has run the last, two James Bond films, ?Casino Royale? and ?Quantum of Solace? through their own, Sony Pictures distribution and marketing company. Up until these, two films, Fox handled all home video and international marketing for MGM, so the transition to Fox for domestic releases for the Bond franchise from here on out should not be that difficult a move.

There is no word in what state this leaves ?Bond 23,? though, with MGM/Sony still backing the production side, this bit of news shouldn?t cause much if any kind of delay. The film is still tentatively scheduled for release in 2011.

Bond won't be the same without the roaring lion.
