Tommorrow Never Dies was a decent bond film, just suffered from a bit of a weak baddie (which is why for TWINE they made a real effort on having a sinister baddie).

Worst bond movie?

After Goldeneye, the Brosnan Bonds were all just average, and to make an average film with the Bond licence takes some real effort!
After a great start (first time the opening titles have forwarded the plot), Die Another Day just became silly. I mean, Berry and Brosnan in that CGI helicopter "falling" from a CGI blimp was pure Star-Trek where they're rolling about the deck of the enterprise after being shot at and they just tilt the camera!
I'd already given up by the time a CGI brosnan was surfing on a CGI wave.
I got into Bond after seeing the stunts like the Astro Spiral Loop jump in Golden Gun, Lotus sub chase in Spy Who Loved Me, horse-bum Nellie 2 scene and the various car chases. What's the point in watching it all done in CGI? I might as well be at home playing videogames...
I'm also a Moore man. He was the first Bond I remember in the same way Tom Baker is my fave Doctor.
I had forgotten how glorious a rack that blonde girl had in Moonraker - thanks!
Conversely, what's your fave Bond moment?
Although I love the Spiral Loop jump in Golden Gun, the silly sound effect and lack of gadgets knocks a few points off.
I think mine is after an amazing car chase (oil slicks, Lotus and Jaws), unexpected trip underwater and escape, James' Lotus Esprit drives out of the water and drives off to *that* music while astounded beach-goers look on (including the guy who looks at his drink to see what's in it!). It's a real full-stop on the last 15 mins of action.
Classic!

Had a great opening too. Seemed like it would be really good. Then turned into complete cack that ended with tin foil Korean Robocop. It was so atrocious I vowed never to watch a Bond film again and that's why I still haven't seen Casino Royale.
Not just the worst Bond, but one of the worst films I've seen.

probably for me the worst is license to kill or license revoked or whatever its called
the best for me is the Spy who loved me
just loads of lovely girls including a baddie helicopter pilot who looked like she just finished touring with heart
And Barbara Bach - just lush
lets not drool over the lotus submarine

yeah - after finding the photos i've put in my post it seems the helicopter pilot has the honour of being the first female that James Bond killed, so it seems pretty rare

I've seen all the Brosnan Bond flicks - bar Die Another Day - and whilst they weren't actually bad, they just felt really soulless and lacking in spirit. Very 'brown' films. Brosnan just hasn't got the gusto to be Bond, and David Arnold makes a poor substitute for John Barry.

I watched A View To A Kill semi-recently and it has aged pretty badly. Moore is clearly too old to move at a velocity beyond a gentle walking pace and comes across as some rubbery, smarmy, quaintly sleazy oddity, some bizarre creaking predator, getting the horn for Grace Jones (who looks like a questionable pre-op shemale). Still far more fun than the Brosnan films, but it hasn't stood the test of time as well as his previous efforts. Gosh, when I saw that film as a nipper, I shed a tear when Patrick MacNee died.
Trouble is, I was always a Moore fan but a few months back, ITV2/3 were showing old Connery films on Sunday afternoons and I was surprised how brutal and cold they were, with Bond coming across as a callous, flippant kerhunt. From Russia With Love has this claustrophobically sweaty, underhanded, plain nasty-feeling fight between Connery and Robert Shaw and it's uffin' brilliant, you actually sense the guy could lose. The Connery films seemed so old when I was younger, but I have to say I might actually be starting to prefer them to the more stunty, gimmicky Moore ones now (wow, did I say that?)
Having said that, The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker ftw.
