I aim to please - the scoring thread is now updated with the twenty-seven finalists that will be singing for their countries, including that famous European country, Australia. The UK is quite early in the running order this time with the fifth song.

The 2016 UK Song vote takes place this Friday and the BBC today launched the six songs competing to represent the country at this years contest. As usual it's a full line up of bland and forgettable made by committee choices

Sadly we've lost the last two year's scoring threads - will post the 2018 one prior to the final.

From the half dozen or so songs I've heard i imagine it's going to be a very boring show musically. It's Eurovision, it should be a bit wtf and giggles. Instead it's ballads and europop.

Which is why i shall get quite drunk and comment on the shaggablness of the ladies. Much to the wife's amusement no doubt.

Not particularly enamoured with any of them. None of them have the stadium-filling presence of recent winners like Euphoria, Heroes, or the catchiness of Not Your Toy.
