I can't believe I watched the whole of Smokey & The Bandit Part 3, to see Burt's cameo as the real Bandit at the end. It was supposed to be a lead in to Smokey & The Bandit 4,...but it wasn't.

      Snowman impersonating the real Bandit!

Christ. Why is it when somebody starts a thread like this, fate always seems to be tempted:

I just finished watching Boogie Nights less than an hour ago - and Burt was the best thing in it.

R.I.P. Burt - you will be sadly missed.

I've always had a soft spot for Sharky's Machine. I know it's crap, but hey. Burt asked John Boorman to direct that, but he said Burt should do it himself.

No-one's mentioned the big fuss when he looked really ill in the '80s (City Heat, when he got hurt in a stunt) and everyone thought he had HIV.

Was the real reason because John Boorman was directing the 1981 classic Honkytonk Freeway? I will personally never understand why that movie never won an Academy Award. I blame William Devane, that and politics.

The funny thing about City Heat was that it was Burt and Clint's 50th movie, but naturally from that point Clint went up and Burt went down. For that I blame Loni Anderson, she was very bad to Burt. I hope the Taliban get her, I sincerely mean that.
