RageWar - THE CHALLENGES OF EXCALIBRATE (aka The Dungeonmaster)

Has anyone else been treated to this film?!

I picked it up on VHS in the early 2000's, watched and left it round a friends house and now cannot find to to view or buy anywhere on any format.....I missed on on ebay (completed items - before I was looking), I dont think it has ever come to DVD!

It's about some guy that gets transported to some other universe, where he has to fend of stop motion foes with his computer controlled arm and save the fancy woman etc, it's awesome, here's a few snippets for you out there interested.

^Yeah, me and my brother saw it a fair few times as kids in about 1986, it was excellent fun (even has some nudie bits in it, which felt well edgy as a 10 year old). It didn't feel a bit ****e around the edges like some of those Italian apocalypse flicks (The New Barbarians etc.), it was proper awesome.

I used to see it around semi-frequently when I visited second hand markets a few years back, though my work at present means I barely get a chance.

I'm kind of surprised it hasn't been picked up by some budget, bootleg DVD company (23rd Century, I'm talking to you!) and semi-illegally filtered its way onto the pound shop circuit, like many of its peers.

I'll look out for a copy if I get the chance.

I just watched The New Barbarians trailer and it looks like the sort of thing that will enrich my mind tenfold. Deffinate buy.

^Get 2019 on 23rd Century if your pound shop has it, one of those Italian, New Barbarians era post-apocalyptic Escape From New York-type flicks, but incredibly tacky (but cool).

It's an uncut widescreen version ripped direct from the American DVD, and it's a ruddy quid. I don't even think the VTC Pre-cert nasty era VHS was fully uncut.

PS: Apparently, it's known as "The Dungeonmaster" in America, quite a few US VHSes on eBay:
