I see why people are protective about films, but John didn't actually do anything to provoke him. If it wasn't so pass? I'd post a Why So Serious Joker picture.

And to get so uptight over what is widely regarded as a great remaster as wel.... it's not like he's old enough to have seen the originals at the cinema release anyway.

Maybe John has two sides and he was pm'ing him abuse on the side to provoke the meltdown. LOL only joking John....

Still, one bad day, not enough fresh air, too many sugary treats and taking the internet far too serious, it can make anyone pop sometime. Hoping you return Mike!

Slightly off topic, but Comet seem to be clearing out all their BRs and look to only have stocked Disney movies for sometime. I got Ratatouille (?) and Enchanted (for the girl, not me!) for ?4.99 each today. I passed on High School Musical 3. Worth checking your local stores just in case

Yes, Dumbo is Disney's usual - seriously altered aesthetic, grain-sucked. There are parts where they've not managed to remove the grain entirely, which is a little surreal in a half-way-house kind of way.

It looks nice in a "this is kinda what it would look like if the cels had been digitally scanned in the 1940s and it had never touched film" sort of way.

        Oh, and Enchanted was great!

I'll pick them up for the kids when they're all in a boxset

See, I used to value your input, but then you go and call The Godfather overrated and tedius

I once watched Godfather The Epic twice in one day and wasn't bored.

Well, maybe a little. What's Spanish for Banana Daiquiri?

I have no idea how many times I've watched them, but around the age of 17 or 18, they were on the video constantly. Learnt so much from them. Great cinema, great story telling. To this day I can get a lot out of them

I watched one and a half Godfathers and hated every minute of it. SOOO boring and tedious. A lot of people I know think this too. Not sure why they are deemed such classics, honestly.

I have yet to watch a Godfather film.

I've watched the third one with the sound down while on the phone. I remember describing the helicopter bit down the blower.

The less said about the third one the better. Absolute pants.

I still need to watch 2 and 3 - the prospect of giving them my full attention for hours doesn't really thrill me though, given how I found the first, so I might downgrade them to TV half-viewing.

I despair! Part II is one of the greatest films ever made, and Part I isn't far behind it. Acting, directing, cinematography, it's all of the absolute highest calibre.
