    Blu-Ray Top 10

Was wondering what people's top 10 Blu-Ray's would be for picture quality and audio quality, not your favourite if you dont think its the best for picture quality and audio quality, maybe mark the movies PQ - 5 etc same AQ - 5, then if a film goes into your top 10 you could ammend the post.

    1.Avatar ( PQ -5 , AQ 5 )
    2.Red Cliff SE ( PQ - 5, AQ - 5 )
    3.Casino Royale ( PQ - 5, AQ - 5 )
    4.Watchmen ( PQ - 4 , AQ - 5 )
    5.Dark Knight ( PQ - 4 , AQ - 4 )
    6.Apocalypto ( PQ - 4 , AQ - 4 )
    7.Transformers ( PQ - 4 , AQ - 4 )
    8.Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince ( PQ - 4 , AQ - 3 )

Just as a general list, in alphabetical order, here are some that have impressed me:

    Apocalypto
    Avatar
    Braveheart
    Chronicles of Narnia (both)
    Hot Fuzz
    I, Robot
    Pirates of the Caribbean 2-3
    Sleeping Beauty
    Transformers

Also pretty much any CG film is a good choice for PQ because they're all almost perfect. I deliberately didn't include them on the list because they can look stunning by default.

Regarding picture quality, Star Trek > everything for me.

I've yet to watch my Avatar blu-ray but I suspect that will look ridiculous

        Audio

AKIRA (US blu ray) has one of the most stunning audio tacks i have heard. It is encoded in Dolby TrueHD (192/24bit)

Stealth has a lovely LPCM track, with great use of surrounds

most modern films with DTSHD/Dolby TrueHD are decent - I Robot, cloverfield, to name a few

        pic quality

        The fall
        Baraka
        Speed racer
        The towering inferno
        zulu

all pretty much reference quality for me

Unless the people working the video encoder screw up and forget to turn the blurring filter off (facepalm!) Fortunately this has only affected a few naff CG movies!
