I'm enjoying this series so far but it's a long way from the early series now. Its lost its earthy slow burn and utter shocks.

...and how does Bronn manage to wander in to Winterfell and point a crossbow at the queen's right hand man and his brother, without anyone noticing?
...and why didn't Daenerys just attack the ships from behind?
...and why didn't Cersei wipe out Darnerys, Tyrion and the dragon whilst they were all standing around unguarded against a wall of massive crossbows?
It just feels quite sloppy these days.Last edited by ZipZap; 07-05-2019, 22:19.

The show is full of scenes that make no sense though, the last two seasons seem to teleport people about with no sense of the journey or time its taken them to get there, the show is full of great journeys, look at how long it took the hound to escort Arya to The Eyrie, or how long it took Jamie and Bryane to be returned when they where captured. Yet we're teleported form winterfell to kings landing in a blink with sense of the journey.
The surprise ambush at sea from this episode wound me up, a fleet that shouldn't exist (How did he even build all them bloody boats so quickly he was on a barren island with no forests and not a ship to his name). i suppose if he can build ships that quick hiding an entire fleet behind one rock and then being able to get instantly into a position to destroy every other ship and take down a dragon in seconds is pretty believable.
I'm not sure how where supposed to believe Danny could take kings landing her army is decimated in the battle of the dead it looks like there is nobody left, surley kings landing has the bigger army when you take into account the golden company the greyjoy fleet and the kings landing soilders.Last edited by Lebowski; 08-05-2019, 12:14.

It's not always a good rule to follow or you end up with a book or show or play that feels like the Hobbs & Shaw trailer but still, if you can think of something much more interesting, and not much reason to avert it, you should maybe go with that?
I think it could've worked out the same way, but she could've tried something, or they could've made her visibly so terrified/in shock as for it to be evident that she couldn't have done anything.

Well I enjoyed it.
There’s some fair criticism here, but there’s also some unfair criticism. I don’t buy this ‘pushing Sersee off the top as a final act of defiance’ lark. It presumes a calm and logical mind when facing death. It’s like the extreme of a ‘that’s what I should have said’ moment.
The travelling stuff is all fair game. What purpose would making it all realistic have, though? I get the illogical niggle of it. Hell, it shatters the illusion of the world painstakingly built. But, when the game is in its final stages, is it really worth getting too upset over?
I think Gray Wrom will die trying to get to the Mountin, before the Hownd nails his brother. Tyrone will poison Varis to prevent him from killing Dani. Caleesee will go postal and lose the hearts and minds of her intended subjects. John will capture Sersee and show mercy, nailing his leadership creds. He’ll allow her and Jayme to raise the child under house arrest at Highgarden, guarded by Brown. Yuron the perv will get bolted off Yarra. John will get crowned king and have Tyrone as his hand, with Sanser the Warden of the North. Aryer will kill the firebrand Dani.Last edited by prinnysquad; 08-05-2019, 19:58.
