Thor 2 will feature Loki as a prominent villain however to keep things mixed up at least one more villain will be added. Mads Mikkelsen (of Casino Royale) fame is in talks for that role. Rumours are he will be playing The Executioner. Rumours are the additional villain could be The Enchantress.

Don't like the idea of having Loki as the main villain again, even if they do add another. I'd like to see them give Loki a rest.

I actually don't mind Loki coming back I quite like him as a character.

Enchantress makes sense as a second villan they work well as a pairing in the Avengers Cartoon & I'm guessing they have quite the back story throughout the comics & Thor universe in general so getting her into the movies could be a good idea.

Feige says that Thanos won't appear in a Marvel film for a good long while which means he's unlikely to appear in this or any other Marvel film pre-Avengers 2. Loki is again directly referred to be being back in some form and we will get to see the poorer parts of Asgard.

Chuck's Zachary Levi is said to be in talks to take over the role of Thor's friend Fandral due to Josh Dallas being unable to reprise the role due to commitments. Levi was originally lined up to play the role in the first film but pulled out due to Chuck.
