Thought it'd died a death when they invented a genre for Bruce Willis before realising he was making as much money as possible before his illness stopped him working.
In some small fairness to them, they knew as much about what was actually going on with his health as we did, which is to obviously say they knew nothing about it.

They dropped the award as soon as they found out, I know they're not monsters, but I just hate that mentality of joyful glee at being snarky about stuff.

I'd rather hear people be enthusiastic about things.

I hear where you're coming from.

I do feel like a lot of celebs who have won razzies in recent years went along with the joke (much to their credit) and turned up to actually collect their awards (ie. Halle Berry, John Travolta also, unless I'm mistaken?).

Amazon/MGM have now acquired full creative control of the 007 franchise from Eon, paving the way for production of a new film and other spin-off media.

Situation clearly became untenable given they've spent all this time butting heads over their plans to milk the franchises teats dry. Looks like they got their way, presumably with a major payday, so I'm setting my expectations for the Bond franchise rock bottom

Yup. Michael G. Wilson (who was retiring anyway) and Barbara Broccoli definitely liked the taste of that Bezos money enough for them to step aside after all this time.

Cannot wait for that deluge of sh1t Bond spin-off TV shows to appear on Amazon Prime now. /s

EDIT: Just realised that the last action of Eon, the people who actually cared about James Bond, was to kill off the character in No Time To Die (the 25th film in the series that they made) and effectively end their era of stewardship over him. Quite fitting.

Main thing to remember (for those going through this the first time), corporations are not your friends and will swivel to match the direction the wind's blowing, every time.

No, we're not talking Trumps second term - it's Zaslav's management of Warner Bros, of which he has directly overseen the company losing 50% of its market value

(FULL DISCLOSURE: Didn't watch last night's ceremony - haven't watched the Oscars in years and cba to stay up for it)

As much as I enjoyed Anora (and was impressed by Mikey Madison and Yura Borisov), I don't feel like it was the mind-blowing cinematic tour de force that it was made out to be. That said, I don't begrudge it cleaning up at the Oscars - good vibes for indie film and all that.

Personally, I would've liked to have seen Fernanda Torres win Best Actress for her performance in I'm Still Here - simply remarkable from start to end. I would've also had Colman Domingo up for Best Actor for his performance in Sing Sing (an amazing film full of amazing performances) but admittedly it wasn't likely to happen, especially when A24 did f--k all to actually promote it.

Disney Animation Scraps "Tiana" Series & More - Dark Horizons
The studio has axed the Princess and the Frog spin-off, the work done set to be reworked into a single short special. An original film has also been axed bringing an end to Disney's long-form animation projects. Pixar have also confirmed they will produce no more series for Disney+ as both limit their content output compared to the past half decade.
