RIPD - rest in peace department (Ryan Reynolds / jeff bridges)

A recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him. And the police department are there to get the people who haven't been judged or called deado's

It's based on a comic book and interested in giving it a wee read just to see if its decent

Now it strikes me as this wont be everyone's cup of tea but I love jeff bridges and the partnership with Ryan Reynolds works well

And with Kevin bacon it all adds to it and I enjoyed it

What I found the funniest is that certain things are kept from the living and dead people are in other avatars and Ryan Reynolds is a old chinaman (lo pan from big trouble) and jeff bridges is this stunning woman called Marissa miller

Plus the weapons they have are disguised and occasionally you get to see how he looks to others pointing his banana at the baddies

I thought it was pretty terrible. It's basically just an unfunny men in black rip off with escaped dead people instead of escaped aliens. There's nothing remotely witty or clever about the film.

The first half is very generic and quite boring, the introduction to the RIPD world takes far too long and there's no story to the film for the first hour. Things do pick up more in the films final act, which features a few spectacular set peices, but its not enough, and all in all it felt like a bit of a waste of time really.

I would say its his own fault, I doubt he finds it hard to get film roles at this stage of his career yet he chose to star in this even after he read the script, and its most deffinitley one of the worst scripts for any film this year.

Either that or he just doesn't read scripts. Which would explain why he did Green Lantern.

The second worst film I've ever seen at the cinema.

Yeah, didn't really go anywhere with its ideas. Well nowhere interesting anyway.
