    XCU: The Wolverine 3

20th Century Fox has begun negotiations with director James Mangold for another solo-Wolverine installment following this year’s “The Wolverine”. Reviews for “The Wolverine” were a soft positive, better than “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” but not up there with the franchise’s most acclaimed entries “X2” and “X-Men: First Class”. It also earned a solid, but fairly quiet […]

A while back, digital modeler and sculptor Adam Ross published some photos of an unpainted, 3D printed mask that was created for a key scene in James Mangold’s “The Wolverine” that got left on the cutting room floor. The mask resembled that worn by the classic yellow and black costumed comics version of Wolverine. As […]

Turns out Hugh Jackman may be slipping back into his Wolverine outfit sooner than expected. As we already know, filmmaker Bryan Singer is about to release “X-Men: Days of Future Past” this May and is already looking towards directing “X-Men: Apocalypse” sometime next year in time for a 2016 release. Meanwhile, Jackman and his “The […]

20th Century Fox has shaken up its future release schedule, announcing release dates for a number of major tentpoles over the next four years, mostly big-budget comic book adaptations Many of these have yet to be written, let alone given the green light, so to say this is presumptuous is a bit of an understatement. […]

A day after after the release date announcement, 20th Century Fox has hired screenwriter David James Kelly to pen the script for the upcoming follow-up to last year’s “The Wolverine”.. Deadline also reports that Hugh Jackman is set to star and director James Mangold is coming back to helm the sequel, though no plot details […]

Jackman is officially back, pretty likely that means he's potentially in Apocalypse too should the character crop up

For a while now, Hugh Jackman has been teasing that he plans to retire from The Wolverine role sometime in the near future. With which film though it wasn’t made quite clear. Then came reports that “The Wolverine” director James Mangold had signed on to return for a follow-up to that 2013 film, and Jackman […]

Jackman has said that this film will near certainly be his final appearance as Wolverine

Before now, actor Hugh Jackman has been suggesting that he’s ready to retire from his signature role of Wolverine in the “X-Men” movies. All indications are that the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse” and third “Wolverine” stand-alone movies – both aiming to shoot in the second half of next year – would be his swan song as […]

One of the big questions many “X-Men” fans have had is how much longer will Hugh Jackman play his most iconic role – that of Wolverine. Jackman was 31 when he filmed the first “X-Men,” but as he turns 47 this year the question of how long he can physically sustain the role’s demands are […]

Jackman has now completely changed his previous stance by saying that he now wants to play Wolverine for as long as he possibly can

Yeah, I'm sure the millions of dollers he gets per movie have nothing to do with that choice. I've never liked him as wolvie and I never will. Cant wait for his casting to change.

This weekend, Hugh Jackman has released an Instagram photo that suggests that his days as Wolverine are numbered. Jackman’s photo shows him donning Wolverine’s claws with the caption “WOLVERINE …ONE LAST TIME. HJ.” 20th Century Fox has previously slated an untitled Wolverine project for March 3rd 2017 and this is the film it’s expected that […]

And now it's him hinting retiring from the role again. Make your mind up Hugh

Ugh... has he ever even done a decent film where he wasn't wolverine?

He does seem to have crawled up his own arse over the last couple of years.

He actually had a very successful career onstage in musicals before he was a film actor. He's an amazing dancer and singer (the dancing is what got him the Wolverine part, as he had the grizzled appearance and it was perceived he'd be able to do the fighting scenes without problems).

He's most well-known, apparently, for his onstage performance as Gaston in Beauty & the Beast.
