Currently listening to The Fat of the Land, which I love. Listened to Somewhere in Time on the way home from work last night - my favourite Iron Maiden album I think, love the bass on that album. <3

Got back into the album DatA - Skywriter, it's like if there was a third option behind Justice and Daft Punk, this is it, badassings.

Yep, a fantastic album. That one was a real treat for me as I got it pretty much on a whim as I had heard the name associated with other acts I like (like Danger).

Know Your Enemy: Rage Against The Machine

Am I the only person who gets all discombobulated when speakers and particularly headphones are delivering sound only through one channel? There's a short section in this where the guitar is outputting through the left channel only and it's horrible!

There's a great example of this on Queens of the Stone Age's The Bronze. I took one earbud out whilst at the supermarket and was expecting a guitar solo section to kick in. It didn't. I just got the drum track. Freaked me out at first, but it gives the song a whole new dimension. Very interesting if you start looking for stuff like this.
