Carla Bozulich. Raw, powerful and emotionally heavy.

Lost a family member this week, suddenly, and this was a song that will always remind me of her...

This! Brendans death song, Ethiopia and Police station are particular favourites of mine.

Been mostly listening to this new Bobby Orlando track, huge fan of the dance stuff he's produced from the early 80's upto the present but this is right up their with my favourites.

A bit of a blast from the past:

Also been listening to stuff by a US house duo called Hott 22, they make really nice jazzy/disco funky house, classy, I could listen to 'Make Up Your Mind' for days:

Been listening to this guy a lot recently, Eli "paperboy" Reed. Not sure you get a feel of him without seeing him live, but if you like a bit of classic motown, try to see him next time he tours.

You would never believe he was a young white guy unless you saw him!

^Go into 'Go Advanced', click the YouTube icon (where all the font options and stuff is) and then copy n' paste the bit of code directly after the '=' sign and copy n's paste it between the two [YOUTUBE/] things, ie:

[YOUTUBE] + -MA0m1K2jW4 inserted between becomes:

                    (Hope it worked!)

Cheers my man, just to give it a try out, give this other Rival sons track a listen. A mix of classic soul and rock, ****ing awesome live.

And I can go nuts with this thing now i've had a lesson. You're probably sick of hearing Aloe Blacc's "I need a dollar" it was everywhere recently despite being old, but I loved how he pulled this off live in the subway:

And despite the song being rinsed, the version of dollar he did on Norton's show was superb:

I can see why a big fan of Zep like you, Ikobo, would like Rival Sons! It's pretty clear which band dominates their iPods!

If you like them, check out a few tracks by Gentlemens Pistols, they're really good.

Been meaning to buy Aloe Blacc's album for ages, got it downloading now, what a voice so effortless.

                          Cheers
