aye, they are grand. a surprise every time.

they haven't released anything for a few years now - i think they've all flown back to their home planet. i still find the odd live set/session online, on various websites so the collection slowly grows.

I used to be huge Kool Keith fan, but the guy just drops so much **** it's impossible to keep up with his alter egos and not get bored to tears.

Good to see Talib Kweli and indeed Black Star being mentioned in here.

As for Kanye, 'College Dropout' was a very good album, 'Late Registration' isn't even worth using as a placemat. He may redeem himself with album no.3but at the moment, I'm skeptical.

Mogwai : Happy Songs for Happy People

I just love Mogwai's raucous slow-burn. And on this album, 'I Know You Are But What Am I?" is simply epic. It should be used in a film or something.

See the new Kweli is due at the end of the month. Rinsed it when it got leaked, but will still be buying just to support the cause.

Been listening to Jay Dee - Welcome to Detroit today.

Got a bit behind on my Hip-Hop buying, how were the Pharoahe Monch and Jazzy Jeff albums released recently?

I didn't really rate the new Pharoahe Monch album. Some of the tracks seemed really "poppy"!? His version of Welcome to the Terrordome was alright (dodgy territory trying to cover PE though! )

I'm on some major Black Rebel Motorcycle Club binge at the minute. It took me a bit to really get into the new album, but now I have I've gone back and listened to all the other stuff I've got.
