    Farscape

Ten years since the show ended

Word is that australian screenwriter Justin Monjo, who previously worked on the show, is writing the script for a movie spin-off which Brian Henson will direct. Should it move ahead it's assumed it would be a telemovie rather than a cinema release. Monjo, in an interview, also gave this synopsis of the plot which as always assumed after the hints left by Peacekeeper Wars follows on from the events of that finale:

"In the finale, the protagonists, American astronaut John Crichton (Ben Browder) and peacekeeper Aeryn Sun (Claudia Black) got married and had a baby.

In the movie, it?s revealed the boy had special powers which made him the target of the villainous aliens so his parents hide him on Earth.

The plot follows the kid at the age of 19 when his whereabouts have been discovered and he rejoins his parents on their spaceship."

This presumably means that the Peacekeepers find him forcing Crichton and Aeryn to come back for him though who knows whether Scrorpius learned his lesson from PW's ending... hopefully not.

If they make this, I swear, my mind will explode. Love it.

Farscape is one of the best TV series ever made ... Must start watching it again on Netflix. The last proper episode was crazy how they ended it, I was screaming at the TV at the time, and even more so when I found out it had been cancelled.

Is it on Netflix? US or UK? Might watch it again.

I really wish they'd get Babylon 5 back.

That last ep of Season 4 after the axe had to be one of the most gut wrenching finales ever. Turned a normal season finale into a jaw dropper and if it had never had PW made would have been forever burned in my mind. PW was a nice finale but they almost pulled the same trick again when you know who was left on that planet

Still not seen PW, and it's not on Netflix AFAIK. Regular Farscape is on Canadian and US Netflix.

PW has become fairly tricky to source for some reason, it never seems to air and isn't included in the boxsets. I had to import the German release to get it on bluray and even that one isn't plentiful.
