Seriously, who is watching these things?

Transformers were my favourite toy growing up but even I've only seen the first film!

Me too. I couldn't bring myself to watch any more of them after that first one.

Me! Well, I saw the first three. I haven't seen the fourth one, yet.

I've forgotten almost everything from the third, and most of the second. I love the first film very much, though, and the CGI is still sumptuous.

Dat 2.75 hour runtime, though. Dass crazy.

Almost unbelievable but the fourth one is the worst

Considering I found each one to be worse than the last, I'd definitely believe that!

              Ashamedly I have

I have literally hated every single one of them...even the first but I just can't stop myself I have to see them even though I know how shockingly poo they will be.
Just some inbred thing in me means if it has Transformers in the title I have to see it, that's how deep my obsession runs.
It's the same with the Cartoons...I've seen all of them in the hope they'll get back to G1 levels (even Beast Wars levels would be ok) but nothing does (Prime was very good though)

Yeah the 4th was sooooooo long & just so bad.
The Dinobots were a total mockery & I'm amazed they even bothered with them for the amount of screen time they got.
I still despise the designs of them I literally hate everything about them & yet I still buy & watch them...it makes no sense!!

Dark of the Moon was the best one and that's still a chozfest.

It's a franchise that I deeply wish was more G1 like. It's not a high quality one either but one I also don't find to be quite as bad as its rep has it. Funnily enough I find TF1 probably the most forgettable. TF2 is all over the shop. TF3 is alright but too long and TF4... some real errors but again I kind of didn't mind it. It's small increments over one another. With Hasbro's plans I'd love them to have some fans involved in the making. No reason why the Cybertron prequel can't indulge G1 fans a little at the least.

Michael Bay has confirmed that once again he's sucker punched detractors and signed on the direct the film after claiming he was done, Kojima style. Now he claims this one will be his last...

Story wise I might agree, design wise, not at all. I find the new TF designs organic. 80's designs wouldn't fit at all. Then again, I'm open to anything but when I saw the Transformers for the first time my jaw dropped. So awesome.

                      Am I the only one?

Who watched G1 recently and thought 'wow this is so awesome'? I did and, frankly, the 1st season was ok but the 2nd all over the place.

I agree that G1 designs might not fit, but do they have to make the movie ones so ugly?!
It's like they don't transform, they just turn inside out! Their insides are outsides.

I peruse various Robot media like Hobby Japan and the Super Robot Encyclopaedia and there are so many nice designs, but the movie robots do nothing for me.

It actually makes me a little sad that all the Star Wars guys have a film to be excited about, but the kids who preferred Transformers have these poor films. I think I'd rather watch Robot Jox!

Racist! I don't see ugliness at all. They're mechanical beings.

Heh! "All you robot guys look the same to me! Transforming into boats and coming over 'ere to take our jobs!"

Seriously, they all look the same, look at this screenshot from TF2:

I remember when I saw this animation way back in 2000 and I was quite excited at the prospect of a Transformers movie:

That looks far more appealing than the tangled mess of scrap metal we have in the movies now.
