    Leviathan

The producer of X-Men and Star Wars Steven Kinsberg has joined Neil Blomkamp (as Exec Producer) of this new sci-fi film which is now moving ahead with pace.

Written by Jim Uhls, writer of the screenplays of Fight Club and Jumper, the film follows drafted pilots who are made to hunt giant sky bound creatures.

A three minute proof on concept clip was put together which quickly drew millions of views

The director was once attached to the live action Akira adaptation. Worked with him years ago. Taught him everything he knows.

        It's "The Leviathan".

"Leviathan" is the name of a roller coaster, a 2014 drama and a 1989 underwater horror film starring Peter "RoboCop" Weller.

I always get it muddled with Deepstar Six.

This looks good though, thanks. Reminds me of Lost Planet.

Jesus Christ that proof of concept clip is amazing! Like a mix of Gears of War, Dune and Aliens. Definitely keeping an eye on this one.

This story is about the "backyard" video pitch for "The Leviathan," which drew the attention of many industry artists who signed on for this indie film. Xsens' MVN mocap suits were used to acquire movements, and the footage was then sent to artists, most of whom worked for free.

Ive got Leviathan on DVD i dont know why its not more popular as its pretty decent for its time, only ever seen clips of Deep Star Six, generally like anything with Miguel Ferrer (also another underwater Robocop connection)
