This dorama about the adventures of layabout youths and not-so-youths working at a konbini just blows all J-Drama conventions, clichees and stereotypes out of the water and then some.
Features an eclectic cast of hilarious amateur J-actors including Rena Matsui from some girl group called SKE48 and the famous comedian Jiro.
The writers have mad skill and make for just absolutely brilliant writing.
Sarcasm- of all things, in a bloody J-Drama - in spades! Wilting flower Japanese femininity tropes smacked in the face.
Currently simulcasting on Crunchyroll:
This is a just a brilliant dorama. Only fault is a short runtime of 23 minutes/episode.
Strongly strongly recommended, must watch, in case I didn't get that across above. Fin.
