Michael Keaton has talked about his decision to return to the role of Batman after 30 years following his previous indecision on whether to do it. He says that he always had it in his head that he never nailed the role in either Batman or Batman Returns so coming back for The Flash was a chance for him to try and really 'nail' the character.

After becoming quite down on the role and also bowing out following the difficult filming of Justice League, Ben Affleck has discussed his return to the role for The Flash and spoken of how much he enjoyed it this time. The director has said Afflecks role in the film is significant and whilst the film is firmly about Barry Allen the main focus of the two characters is born from them both sharing experiences relating to their deceased parents.
Following their collaboration on this year’s “The Suicide Squad” and the upcoming “Peacemaker” series,” filmmaker James Gunn is reuniting with WarnerMedia on another DC project. It's been a waiting game to see what James Gunn would gravitate toward once The Suicide Squad and Guardians and the Galaxy Vol.3 are both out of the way but the director has now confirmed he's headed down the DC track and will be moving on to make another project for Warner Bros.

I was a bit disappointed by how familiar it looks. I feel like I have seen this movie time and time again and the main difference is the car design. I think I was expecting a more different take here so was surprised by it looking like yet another Batman film… which maybe is something I shouldn’t have been surprised by.
