Gunn & Safran Nearly Finished DC Future Plans - Dark Horizons
The outline for the next decade of the DCU is said to be nearly complete and one of the approaches will apparently be to streamline character incarnations. Given the recent culling in Warner's TV departments this likely means that series based versions of characters will be more limited moving forward whilst plans to have Pattinson, Affleck and Keaton all in play are also likely at an end. Whilst Pattinson is going to continue with his sequel to The Batman this likely means that Keaton will be limited now to just appearing in the upcoming The Flash film whilst the DCU will be establishing its definitive takes on characters rather than rely on multiverse versions. As such, given Gunn's past run in's with Leto, expect a new DCU core Joker at some point.

"Wonder Woman 3" & More Dead At DC - Dark Horizons
James Gunn and Peter Safran are set to meet with Warner Bros boss David Zaslav next week to confirm their plans for the DCU and the first details are said to be that the pair have decided to have cancel Wonder Woman III
It's also said to be up in the air as to whether they will keep Henry Cavill as Superman and Jason Momoa as Aquaman. The Man of Steel II project is also said to be looking shakey and despite Aquaman being the $1bn+ winner of their line up and having four DCU films lined up for 2023 it is starting to have an air about it that the pair are leaning towards taking advantage of The Flash's timeline reset and wiping the entire board clear to start again from scratch.

Cavill-Free New "Superman" Film Confirmed - Dark Horizons
But they've fired Cavill
James Gunn has confirmed that the initial slate of films for the new chapter of the DC Cinematic Universe has now been confirmed and that they will make announcements early in 2023. However, the first confirmed film is a new Superman movie which will once again chart the origins of a new version of the character meaning that Henry Cavill has been let go from the role after nine years and an awkward recent announcement of his return to it.
It seems like Gunn is aiming to keep existing key figures involved in some capacity leaving the door open for Cavill to return in another capacity one day. Similarly it is speculated that Ben Affleck may remain involved albeit as a director of an upcoming film rather than starring in one.
The new film will reportedly follow Clark Kent as a young reporter for the Daily Planet and his first meeting with characters such as Lois Lane. The rebooting of Superman effectively confirms that The Flash will be used as an opportunity to wipe the slate clean meaning that Levy and Momoa's upcoming sequels to Shazam and Aquaman are near certainly their final films.
