Crazy idea given this seems like a short term agreement so far:
Spider-Man appears in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and during the film is lost in the Multiverse. This allows the MCU Peter to continue but outside of the MCU in Sony's own CU where nothing impacts the stuff Marvel does. He then appears in Spider-Man Homecoming 3 which opens 2 months after Doctor Strange in a film where they can easily recast anyone they need to without the audience questioning anything, Holland can appear in any Sony CU film (presumably Sony would have a Venom crossover planned already hence the nod) and the set up of this means they can pull Peter back into the MCU at any time should a future agreement be made.
