Star Wars lived on fans thinking about the details for decades, those were the good old days before the little tike appeared in that damned prequel movie

Yeah, I guess the details got thrown out of whack very early on and maybe they're better just existing in our minds.

I think that was season 4 of Rebels?

Ezra stops him but saves Ahsoka from being killed in a collapsing Sith temple while fighting Vader. The Rebels characters think she is dead until Ezra finds the portal and rescues her.

The portal thing is quite interesting.

Infuritatingly, this story is EVERYWHERE but NOWHERE says where or when in London. You'll need to "wait a bit to know" apparently, which is a bit **** when this is happening in less than a week! I had wanted to go, but without notice it would be difficult.

For 1 episode mid season? What’s the point?

Apparently we'll all know next week. It's meant to be a blinder.

It will be amusing it's all because of Anakin or something really Rebels-fan oriented ergo a non-event

It’s kind of mad seeing Hayden Christensen’s Anakin be a big draw for some people given the vocal response at the time. I wouldn’t be a fan but it has become very clear over the years that Star Wars is different things to different people and to different generations.

                        That’s a good thing.

For original trilogy fans Hayden had a really bad time of it as he had a lot to live up to, he was cast as a moody teenager and not this bad ass sith lord, it felt like lucas rushed things to get him into the suit. I think it would of made a lot more sense to show him starting to become Darth rather than inflicting all his injury's on him at once, to tie things up with a neat little bow. Im sure the orginal set up was that Vader ended up in the suit one battle at a time and through injuries sustained over many battles.

Whatever about the story of how he got to that point, the story of his injuries was oddly close to what we saw all the way back to the novelisation of Return of the Jedi, which was written based on working drafts of the script.

Edit: doing some googling, it seems it goes back even further, pre-Empire, with Lucas describing the event in interviews. Although back then, Vader and Anakin were two different people.

Hayden is great as Anakin and doesn’t get enough credit for the role really. He really comes into his own in Revenge of the Sith (whatever the Star Wars Uber freaks will protest).

It’s good he’s come back and reprised the role for all the new stuff, Obi Wan was great, you really couldn’t put anyone else into it now.
