Question now is what they canonise and what they don't. The Netflix shows have some good stuff in there but a load of naff too. I'd prefer they cherry picked stuff than lumber us with Luke Cage, Iron Fist and an utterly wasted hiring of Weaver

That said, there's zero guarantee this means anything to the MCU beyond some stream filling just like Marvel doesn't consider Agents of Shield or Inhumans connected anymore

Paramount need to cool it down.

There is SO MUCH now, a lot of it appealing to nostalgia (I love Turtles but a Bebop film?!) and instead of being exciting it just feels corporate and empty.

And it turns out that steaming services are now seeing declining numbers: https://www.theguardian.com/media/20...ir-magic-touch

Hulu, HBO Max, Paramount+, AppleTV+, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, BritBox, NowTV, Discovery+, Crunchyroll.

If you want to be able to see all the exclusive shows (and some you've no choice about HBO Max, Paramount+ not availble here), you're now looking at around £90-100 a month purely on streaming subscriptions.

Ask me again why streaming services are declining in numbers. Divide an conquer? Divide and lose customers to "alternative methods" more like.

It would be great if everything was available on the same service, like music. Though, with all these musician catalogues being bought, who knows how long that lasts.

Let’s see how long TV lasts if a service pays as little as spotify does to its artists.

It’s getting crazy. Honest folks will start to move closer to piracy.

It's a war of attrition, none of those companies cares as long as they're the one standing when the dust settles. Disney+ is an absolute shoe-in to last the distance, at best you might get two other major platforms survive also and I'm slightly, every so slightly cautious that Netflix will be one of them.

I guess it depends on the rate of decline also, there was always going to be a post-lockdown drop off as well
