Some good stuff in that list but the top of the pile is definitely Donnie Brasco. Fuhgettabahit!

Only one choice for me this time (Boogie Nights) as I think it's way above the rest.

But I still really need to see Event Horizon ... must get round to it.

This is one of the first where I have a lot of cinema-going memories. I was a teenager, so I think this must have been the year I looked old enough to get into pretty much any film.

Not seen many on the list, Con Air was good mainly due to Buscemi who I rate very highly, I also like Cage but preferably before he put his muscle suit on.

          Also voted Event Horizon.

Yes you must, saw this late one Christmas time as there was nothing else one, great film with - for me - a surprising and shocking ending.

            Gattaca has a wonderful soundtrack.

Breakdown is a cracking little film. Kurt Russell and JT Walsh. The whole cinema were on the edge of their seats.

            I’ve always enjoyed Contact.

This was an era where I’d go to the Robins in Durham Saturday AND Sunday every weekend. Sometimes I’d see 2 films a day. Once I think I even saw 3. A quick count suggests I saw 27 on that list.

Gah, I missed Breakdown when I voted. Class film.

It’s one of only a few films where I’ve been so engrossed in it, that I’ve had to forcibly snap my attention away from it. I glanced around and everyone else was silent. You could hear a pin drop. Fab film.

Gattaca is class. Completely within the realm of possibility in the next two decades and just how the multi-billionaires would like it - not content with purchasing first-class educations and lifestyles for their offspring but genetically enhancing them before birth.

Yeah, I saw it at the cinema too, very similar experience ... me and my mates couldn't believe how good it was or how cleverly it played out. Plus, JT Walsh as Red Barr was an absolutely class bad guy.

I love how action movie heavy this year was. Face/Off though, awesomeness.
