Movie 72 - Silent Hill: Revelation
Changing director and hanging itself on the 3D craze, the sequel took the option of adapting the third games story in order to present a more direct sequel to audiences. The film was poorly received but still managed to prove profitable leaving the door slightly ajar for the eventual next film that is coming soon.

      Movie 74 - It
The adaptation of Stephen Kings novel was not well anticipated. The initial reveal of the clown design didn't go down well as neither did the news that the film would sideline the adults side of the story, focusing solely on the kids with the intention of seeing if a sequel would bridge the gap. However, when the film released it was a massive success establishing a definining version of the Pennywise character for many and seeing the film become the most successful horror film ever released.

Movie 75 - It: Chapter Two
The final entry for this year sees the second half of the story with the now grown up kids feeling pushed to return to Derry as they realise that Pennywise has returned again to prey on the children of the town. The second film used most of the remaining material from the book and whilst not quite as well recieved was still a massive hit cementing the characters pop culture position.

Never got around to part 2.
Part 1 was decent, but pretty forgettable beyond Pennywise. IMHO.

Wasn't a huge fan of the Pennywise look, with the giant dome and stuff, but I enjoyed the films. Yes, I prefer the structure of the book, going between the timelines, but for a 6 hour 2-part film it works a treat.

Watched part 1, didn’t like it. Can’t remember why now.

I really like Part 1, it has all the best beats and a good tone whislt cutting the parts of the book that shouldn't have even made the cut on paper form. Part 2 is solid but not as effective. I think part of it is, and why I liked the structure, I know that the kids survive because of the grown up half but in Part 1 keeping them seperate lets you engage more in the threat to them.
