Hard Target

I'd seen this years before but not for a long while. It's such a hilarious film in so many ways, but it absolutely delivers 90 minutes of John Woo/JCVD fun. The plot, which is basically The Most Dangerous Game, is not just thin but practically non-existent, and the film aggrandizes JCVD to such an extent that it feels like there's practically zero peril, since he basically just goes around kicking everyone's arses.

Not that that's a bad thing, though, particularly when you get stuff like him swinging through the air on a rope firing an Uzi indiscriminately (in a room where his dad and girlfriend are hiding somewhere) and punching a snake in the head (lol).

Anyway this film is incredibly fun and incredibly ridiculous and you've probably seen it but if you haven't, you should.

I rented it on Prime where the picture and sound was excellent, actually.
