    Hollywood Hot Wheels: Round 36

    WELCOME TO:

    HOLLYWOOD HOT WHEELS: ROUND 36

A bonus round to see us through the coming week alongside Round 35 as we continue through the history of the industries most recognisable vehicles covering all manners of iconic designs from film, tv and gaming, their history and what you think of them.

Each round will see three vehicles lined up for the showcase. Unlike the voting conducted in the other threads, here things are more cutthroat.

You each can only vote for a single design in each round, casting the other two to the scrapheap of Hollywood history.
Make your choice then tell us why you like or don't like each vehicle and why you voted for the one you did.

    VEHICLE 106 - Thunderbird 1

The first of the Thunderbird vehicles, it uses a traditional rocket design and can travel at 15,000 miles per hour. Across the original series, live action film and animated series the look of the vessel has remained mostly consistent for the first responder designed to get to any emergency around the world within an hour or less.

    Number 1?

    VEHICLE 107 - Fleetwood Bounder

Breaking Bad's famous mobile home, this 1986 RV is purchased for the purpose of being a mobile lab. The RV is highly unreliable and despite some appearances in later content was destroyed in the third season of the show. Despite this it has remained an iconic image for the show and its fans.

    Bad?

    VEHICLE 108 - Family Truckster

National Lampoons Vacation movies family car used to get the family around their route. A popular Crown Victoria station wagon, the production crew masked the Ford branding and set out to make it look more distinct adding the fake panels and pea green livery.

Thunderbird 3 was the coolest of the Thunderbirds, but it was hardly ever used. Alan Tracy had a pretty easy go of things really - however, Thunderbird 1 is clearly the greatest vehicle here, the Fleetwood Bounder is just your own private domicile.

The Griswold wagon was tempting for a moment but it has to be the RV from Breaking Bad. Never knew the model was a 'Fleetwood Bounder' ... that makes it even cooler.

Round 37 has been delayed for the time being. I've finally worked out what most of the remaining round entries will be but currently the image support is proving too problematic so I'll resume things when we're able to.
