Nodame ep4 is great loved Chiki's mind games saving nodame from the old man. And they need to re-name Busou Renkin to Papillon show, ep18 is ace with the Papillon vs the naked guy lol.

Hmm, I've just realised I'm not really sure what's meant by "filler" when you guys talk about Naruto. What's actually going on in the episodes? I was imagining random fighting that didn't lead anywhere but then the whole show's about fighting so it might not be that at all. I gave up on where I was (around the 30s) but I'm thinking about jumping ahead just to see what the later episodes are like.

filler is, specially in shounen anime is when story is made up just for the anime thats not in the manga, usually due to the anime catching up to the manga's current story, very often is done badly and has no meaning to the main story. There's filler for Naruto dotted all over with the main lot around 90's-110's and then 130-220...

Ah, I didn't know that. So do the main bits occur at key points or is it just whenever they've happened to catch up? Anime seems to be produced so much faster than western animated series.

Its whenever Naruto been close to catching up with the manga(within 1 or 2 story arc's), Bleach as had it in small amounts until the filler arc with the Bounto's. One Piece generally has better filler but even that nothing compared to the proper story.

Yeah. Usually when I'm referring to filler in this thread it's about stuff that's not in the manga or whatever the anime was adapted from.

Death Note Ep 17. A so so episode didnt enjoy it that much but it has an intresting ending and a couple of good parts.

I liked the start with the tension of the possible execution, but after that the episode wasn't great but did reveal a new storyline in the business circle which looks like it will now be a major part of the story.

Marimite Ova 2 - More really good stuff, lots of giggles and few tension moments and some real campness near the end . We also get more of the Fukuzawa siblings which we haven't really seen together for a good while. Loved the little bit of talk while at the bus stop asking each other who their 'type was' and Yumi face expressions are always class through the episode. Looks like we the tall girl introduced (Kanako) at last next ova, looking forward to it

Red Garden ep14-16 - wow, top episode bringing to together everything for the first time, i keep forgetting to watch them when there released and store up a couple of episodes, which i shouldn't as this is up there with Code Geass.

We finally got to see Herve and the women battle it out(the old lady totally rocked) after he alot of scheming produced more results than he expected, and Kate now knows the truth from herve but is real? hopefully we'll find out next episode as it seem Kate talking to the leader of the women as if they do win they lose anyway.

The Kuro Hana Death Note subs are really good. Talk about a quick turn-around.

This program gets better and better all the time. An absolute masterclass in story-telling; perfectly weighted, paced and executed. I don't watch an awful lot of anime (Initial D aside), but I absolutely love this.

I was dubious about the quality of their subs so have been waiting for animanda each time, but if you're saying they are ok I might check them out.

Kuro Hana use a better font for their subs I've found, really struggled to read the Animanda ones on my iPod yesterday.
