Man, some of the images of kurenai ep 2 that my friend was showing me on IRC were just... wrong. I seriously hope the show doesn't devolve into that sort of a mess.

Soul Eater ep1 - good stuff, typical shounen with smaller cast. Hope the animation stays like that.

Bleach ep166, wow they really did blow a keg load of cash onthis one. Top notch fighting too and bit at the end of eps made my skin tingle

has Kurenai gone all uber gory or pedo by ep2?

Certainly more related to the latter. I just hope I'm being my typical self and blowing things out of all proportion. But if the stuff we were talking about regarding Zettai Karen Children having an inappropriate vibe was anything that has nothing on this show.

No idea if it's the same with the novels source but from the manga

the girl does develop a zen for him but he either totally ignores it or blows it off entirely. Anything he feels for her is more like little sister vibes than anything.

That said, there's only 5 chapters of the manga so who knows.

Well the images I saw were just Murasaki... Oh well I guess I'll wait and watch the episode myself before saying any more on the matter. I'll certainly try to be openminded about it.

There's so much wrongness in that I don't even know where to begin. Watch Bebop. Now. With the volume turned all the way up.

Well, I've seen bits. Like the ep with the terrorists and another involving a beta tape but not all of it no. I don't know why I've never gone out of my way to watch it. Perhaps trying to preserve one last amazing series for when I finally run out of new things.

If it helps any, I've rectified the situation and have the series on "aqquiring" right now.

Edit: On the subject of confessions, I've never seen the Ghost in the Shell movie all the way through either. I keep falling asleep just after some fight in the water.

I'm just as equally shocked he's not seen Marimite(but then thats me.. CB fine to and one of the 10 odd shows i own on original dvds)

I did enjoy crest when i watched it awhile back, however banner is brilliant, one of the best space opera's ive seen, i think it was the quite epic scale, and believable ship warfare and tactics, that makes it, quite a different change of pace from crest, your in for a good watch jeff when you get round to it

also shame on you for still not having got round to watching bebop yet

as for the new season got round to watching Zettai Karen Children and Special A today

Zettai Karen Children: Was abit of a weird one, some bits were quite amusing like the evil guys silly attack names n stuff, but it was an average first ep really, didnt really get across where there planning on going with it or anything, all still seemed abit up in the air, also it was so blatant that it was the same group thats behind hayate, as for the pedo comments, it could be but i think your thinking about it too much, most magical girl shows (and similar) are abit like that, nothing really new

Special A: i quite enjoyed this, not sure why, i think it was some of the little quirks that some of the characters showed and so on, also noodle people! could turn out half decent if done right

also i think i may have started something i really shouldn't have, started playing/reading tsukihime yesterday, and also downloaded Fate/Stay Night, (both the converted DS versions, so much better being able to read/play then where you like rather than being stuck to a pc monitor), what i dont really need now is to develop an addiction to visual novels along with everything else

[Edit:] Jeff, double shame for not seeing GiTS all the way through, well theres no better time what with the rather nice blue-ray rips that are floating around atm, which reminds me i need to acquire similar rips for innocence

In my defence for this, I kept getting this confused with a series called Emma for some bizarre reason which from the pictures I saw of it looked a bit meh. Wasn't till I actually saw images of Marimite last week that I twigged.

Edit: Funny you should mention Fate/Stay Night actually since I learned something interesting from someone's comments about one of the games/novels/things. Rather large spoiler of the entire thing so:

I had no idea that Archer was the incarnation of Shirou. I mean it's fairly obvious when thinking about and would explain some of the scenes with them at the end of the anime but I totally missed it.

Both fantastic movies though, just loads of highbrow talking.

I really liked Fate/Stay Night, i watched a few episodes and then i totally forgot about it. Must have gotten sidetracked with something else at the time, i'll give it awhirl once ive finished some stuff first.

well the whole intro with him vs archer does sort of give it away, although it isnt really explained in the fate route (what the anime is based on), it is in Unlimited Blade Works tho, although your spoilers arnt quite accurate:

archer isnt the incarnation of shirou rather is a shirou from an alternate reality/future who becomes a heroic spirit (whilst still alive, all others become heroic spirits after there dead) to save something, of course thats prolly got some mistakes as i havnt played F/S N yet, so only know what ive picked up

also fun fact archer doesnt actually have his own unique Noble Phantasms(if you dont count UBW, which is a developed version of his tracing ability), he actually traces others noble phantasms, the bow attack he uses in the berserker fight is a modified excalibur for example
