Soul Eater ep 2: Fun stuff. New chars a touch annoying but myeh. The voices are all spot on though. Not entirely sure about Patty's voice in the preview though. Animation and such was all rather nice too. (No porblems from me with sound this week so I'm figuring it must have been the sync)

Zoku SZS ep 11: More randomness, more parodies. Particularly liked the

Eva spear reference and seeing "Get Kira, - L" as a wish on the 'next life' bamboo stalk.

Edit: Kanokon ep 3: Oh lordy. Well there's a vague hint of plot coming through now somewhere but as usual it's all about the fan service. Fairly standard stuff though until that last bit. Sprung out of nowhere that. And just in case you're wondering it is in the manga as well.

Edit 2: Wagaya ep 2: More set up for the series and the first appearance of male Kuugen(voiced by Tomoya's VA making his 6 series of the season). I'd still prefer it if the two kids actually did something but I guess it's early days.

Has anybody seen the Evangelion 1.0 Rebuild movies?

When I was out in Japan there wasa bit of merchandise and it looked like a new organisation had been introduced on top of NERV et al.

It's slogan seemed to be "If I have to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand" but, despite a fair bit of internet searching I can't find anything about them.

Anyone have a clue what I'm on about?

I don't imagine many people have sen it since the only subbed version for it has been a cam rip. Everyone's been waiting on tenderhooks for the dvd release. It looks like the limited edition is out on the 25th with the regular edition being released on the 21st of may.

With any luck (and fansubbers willing) you ashould find out this week or next.

Soul Eater 2 - another good ep, Black Star was rather amusing in his own lil way, although if he keeps at it too long it could get annoying

Kanokon 3- more of the same really, not that thats a bad thing, also that last bit, wtf

Code Geass R2 3 - another great ep, with another of lulu's well played scheme's, next ep looks like we could get some nice combat and hopefully some proper knightmare action, one thing has me worried tho:

its what the 3rd ep and we see that rolo has a proper hax timestop geass, if this is the beginning of a run of various geass users i worry about just how cheap and hax theyl get the closer to the end and suzaku's we get

they handled the spider ark rather well, pretty much spot on with the manga from what i remember, doesnt look like we'll be suffereing from any of the filler eps like the first series, as going from the preview were straight into the psychic girl / dream balloon arc

Kanokon ep 3 - That was slightly less annoying than last week and I did enjoy the bits where that grey haired girl (you can tell how memorable this series is, to be fair I was sort of browsing the web at the same time as watching and it's quite late now...) was raising the relationship flags as it were. So for now it's got itself a stay of execution. Perhaps I am expecting too much out of my fanservice anime...

Allison to Lillia ep 3 -

I had an inkling we were going to get something like that. Can't say it really affected me all that much since we barely got to know him. It was handled well though I thought. Kind of makes you wonder why the old guy didn't try to escape earlier if he had moves like that. I'd certainly have fancied him against that guy that took him away.

It's still trundling along without ever being really great. I'd say it's decent to good at this point.

Kaiba ep 1 - Visually and thematically quite unique to the rest of the shows this season. Definitely the most surreal thing I've seen in a while although I'm not surprised by that with the team behind it. It was always going to be a keeper for me so this is no surprise. Worth checking out if you're after something a bit different. Love the OP too and the cyclopean space ostrich might even rival the monkey from Kemonozume for best anime animal role. I guess it could be tackling some interesting issues too with some of the subject matter like the whole mortality thing,

Just watched Kaiba myself. Jesus, I liked it on nico but seeing it in hd is something else. It's so vibrant! It reminds me of Wind Waker in it's style but it's very trippy. Not really as complex as I thought it would be since they do explain a bit of the randomness. The music fits in superbly too. Read a few complaints from people who say it's not up to Kemonozume but having not seen it I can't comment. I love it though.

Macross Frontier - looks like they've finally set up most of the characters now, from the next episode clip it looks like there might be some Veritech training I love training episodes, probably why I liked Hajime no Ippo so much heh.

anyways Kurenai 3 - i think is quit possibly my favourite show of the season, the character interactions and developments are just brilliant, and it just looks awesome in full HD, the bit:

where she goes to school was brillaint, it was perfectly executed and some of her exchanges with the students were brilliant, and the whole anatomy dummy phone call was brilliant too

I agree Kurenai is probably my fav show of the season too. The character of Murasaki could have easily been a bratty child. But shes absolutly wonderful. A wonderful show.

I really like Kaiba, the visuals are wonderful. You don't see something like that too often and its a refreshing change. I was giggling at some things in it aswell, i don't know if it was intentional but i found some things humourous. Its lovely.
