As for Geass, Tobal pretty much summed it up for me. Bit of a stretch with the way things went, but then that's par for the course with Geass it seems. I'm not entirely sure I want to see another series, at least not yet anyway. If they did make one I'd be there to watch. Maybe set 50 years in the future? I liked the world they created, which might be nice to revisit I suppose.

D/L geass now and i have enjoyed it and will probably buy it if it becomes available, only problem was the usual stories, Lulu is in the grips of death only for him to have used Geass on somebody about a day before and he escapes

Macross i havent enjoyed, the battles have been pretty decent, but its just not my thing

i normally love mech stuff as well

Just watched the Geass finale myself. I agree with most of the points made so far. The ending was pretty well done despite the bit of a mess the last couple of eps were.

The Suzaku - Kallen fight was rather well done, especially when they got down to the mecha hand to hand bit, was rather amusing to see some full on spinzaku kicks from the lancelot. Lulu's death was also very well done, and the bit with Nunnally getting the flashback and the relaisation really added to it.

I supose they obviously left CC's final comments ambigious so they had an opening for a possible R3. Personally i think it should be left finished at R2 at least for the storys of the current cast.

I would be cool however to maybe see some of the Manga Spin Off's / alternate realities like Nightmare of Nunnally adapted into an Anime.

set in the future after all the main cast have died/are dying and the world is once again madly at war. Up pops immortal Lelouch and gives some new main lead(probably female) the Geass and away we go!

Anyway, the ending itself was really good in that it fit well with the series even if the series itself was a bit messy. I did lol at the

Macross 25, a decent end I guess. It didnt really feel like the series was leading up to anything like that but meh. Also I still wish someone would stick a shotgun in Ranka's mouth and pull the trigger A bit harsh maybe but she does my head in.

Based on your advice I picked up Detroit Metal City, and it's a riot. I don't even know where to begin describing the awesomeness. Those gifs from a couple pages ago will have to do .

Soul Eater is good too, as far as the shonen genre is concerned. The animation, in particular, is mighty impressive (then again, it's Bones with a comfortable budget, not Studio Pierrot ), and none of the characters so far has made me express an interest in bashing their heads in (well, except Excalibur, but that's his whole point). That the show's supposed to have a finite number of episodes will probably help keep it fresh and more or less focused.

SlayersR 10-12, thats abit more like it but it feels so strange we're only getting 13eps(for now) with to many filler eps instead of epic battles of which i don't think

Zanaffar is quite epic enough compared to baddies of the past and looks like a dragons head stuck onto a fat cats body... enjoyed the ninja guy and glad he got away(even with loses both arms) and the maid was pretty funny for apologizing for attacking.

Depending on the cliffhanger for the next season, this new Slayers series isn't a patch on the original, NEXT, or even TRY which isn't the best of the three but it's still better than this.

Koihime Musou ep12 - last ep, pretty rubbish overall and i only kept watching it for their take on RoTK (a version with all heroes being women and lesbo) and about the only funny thing in the show was Zhao Yun doing Papillon. Not one to archive

Birdy ep13 - last ep,

since way to end things as there was no way a second season could work if they kept the love interest and should make it more interesting for the kid and Birdy being around each other. Still a **** ton of people died during that final arc but it seems like water of a ducks back to the universe.....

Itazura na Kiss ep24/25 - another show ending - god knows why they even bothered with ep25, its like the producers realized they had a contact for ep25s instead of 24 and had to bundle some crap out in time... Anyway show really ends at 24 and it's been a good ride from the begining to the end where its pretty rare to see characters live a over a couple of decades and advance their relationships making Irie and Kotoko personality changes all the better and believable(mostly ).

It's been said that MVM were offered every (none OVA) slayers series, including Revolution. Hope they take it up. Also hope that the UK fanbase appriciates a classic series when one's released and actually buy it. Still annoyed at no one buying the Lupin III titles they released.

Anyhow, there's trailers and TV spots for a good number of the winter anime now. Could be a great season or it could be mediocre, hard to tell so far. Hoping on a decent comedy series.

Well that was a lets wank the rest of the budget in one episode, I kind of found a bit dull and wanting tbh, How come the Vaj were ok with the humans taking over their home planet??

Right, I've just watched the first episode of Macross Frontier (is that what you're all calling Macross 25?).

I really enjoyed it and thought the battle scenes were great but I'm getting the impression from you guys that it's not worth persevering with.

Time's precious so I'd rather not persevere if it's heavy on the romance and lacking in the mecha scenes.

I've seen the original Macross series so if this is just a re-tread with cgi, what's the point?

thats ep 25 (the last ep). If you like macross which is always been about jpop girls singing love songs for there white knights who kickass in transforming planes then you'll like Frontier, as it follows the rules set down by a Macross title, its not Gundam and its not Super Robot. The only problem with the show as a whole is the plot goes missing in action about ep18/19 before coming back together for ep24/25, and the action/romance balance is about right.

Don't take heed of Oracle, he's just overly bitter about Sheryl being ace and Ranka being a traitorous whore ... also that place wasn't the Vaj homeland,

its just a place where they settled after following Ranka(shown inthe flashbacks) after Galaxy had used dead vaj to make Ranka what she is after the vaj came in contact with humans because of protcutlure(i.e. singing/love), because they didn't understand it

.In the last ep is was said there are many tribes of vaj around the universe, and this was just one of them.

World Destruction ep13 - final ep, not sure why i sat through all 13eps as the story was pretty damn pants but i liked Morute, Ri a, Toppi, Kirie characters and Morute's design is kickass(shame about all the other beastmen/otherkin other than the eagle boss looking terrible furry fanart crap). They seemed to have saved most of the shows budget for this ep and also the entire plot to...

The idiot turns out to be the DC and Mourte magical journey of friendship via murdering otherkin and beating people up helped change her mind about destroying the world.

Tempted to look out for the DS game should sega bring it west.
