Is there anything similar to CCCP on the Mac? I've tried Perian but I prefer VLC to Quicktime.

Has anyone else here read 2001 nights? I just finished the first volume and its fascinating, it's a bunch of short stories on possible advancements in technology/space travel human kind could make and a lot of it seems to be based on real theories/ideas.
My favourite so far being, the attachment of a ship to a comet containing sperm/ovaries/incubation machine and an advanced computer (plus two androids to raise the kids) and then blowing up the comet (i think) to increase the speed. In the manga they head for Tau Ceti which takes 375 years, with the increased speed.

Never heard of that.
Hayate s2 ep6 - have to say im really enjoying this season, who ever makes it seems to know what there fans want which is less Nagi and more everyone else(especially Hina*Hayate and Maria*Hayate), and good lesson learned from last season. And now its gone from something i'll watch when i get a chance(like s1) to must watch when downloaded. At this rate i'll even keep on dvd.
Also got around to finishing Viper Creed, i know someone else finished it a while back but can't remember who but it certainly finishes strong after mild start.
Wasn't expecting the Viper unit to self sacrifice and they really turned that exec women and silver haired guy in some proper hateble villians which really made their comeuppance all the sweeter. The only bit didn't like and while logical the anti-blade mecha and its fight with saiki was bit anticlimatic, and Haruki jesus'ing out of nowhere.

If it's following the manga more closely as I hear it has been, you end up with quite a number of Hina and Hamster events. There's a few Nagi moments but nothing specifically focusing on her development. I won't lie though; however unlikely it is, I'm rooting for a Hina end.
Edt: Saves me from making a new post about it; Trailer for the 7th Kara no Kyoukai movie due out in japanese cinemas in the summer. Hopefully the dvd will be out for christmas. Links into the 2nd movie so you don't have to worry about not having seen number 6.Last edited by Mr.Jeff; 14-05-2009, 16:52.

If you like Eureka7, this is pretty much in the same mold but 26eps instead of 50 odd. Fictional world full of war, airships and couple of teenagers making there way from small beginnings to a big end battle, about as violent as E7 but bleaker in setting.
Loses it way in the 20's eps but just about manages to pull it togther for the final.

i'd say give it 1/2eps, maybe it will win you over on just the animation alone
Aside from that there been little in Mecha, you have last seasons
LineBarrels - decent CGI, but over all average show with plenty stupid leaps of logic and a male lead whos a complete dick for most of the show.
Viper Creed - short 12ep show abot mercs destroying war relics which eventually turns into GItS style story of betrayals and espionage, no where near as good, decent watch.
Sora o Kakeru Shoujo - not watched passed ep8 yet but im told it goes Geass like soon after.
This season just have Shinmazinger(to hardcore) Asura Crying(meh) and Basketball robots (meh)
