Good news that. The DtB stuff moreso. I loved the first season and although it was more of a style over substance case it was still an entertaining watch.

This will also mean that I should start catching up on Shana season 2 I suppose.

After lots of patient waiting for the DVD and avoiding spoilers on 4chan, I've finally got around to seeing The Girl Who Lept through time.

Absolutely brilliant, if you haven't seen this, you need to watch it. First 10 minutes whilst you're still getting to know the characters are a bit slow but after that, I loved every second of it and couldn't fault it.

Typically low key but with immensely likeable, believable characters. Puts Donnie Darko and Butterfly Effect to shame.

just watched the gurren lagann movie, and after waiting so long, i'm a bit disappointed.
i had no idea 90% of it was the tv show. with a different last 20 minutes.
i assumed it was going to be a totally new story following on from the end of the tv show, or maybe something that could be stuck in the normal timeline somewhere.
the next movies going be the second half of the series stuck together isnt it.

Not posted in a while, brought the girl who lept through time a bit go on a play deal, something like ?8 and was worth every penny.

Still watching pretty everything i was last time, but my clear favs are Hayate's S2 and Souten Kouro with FMA,K-on, Bassra, Phantom behind them. Valkyria Chrn, Guin and Eden of the East dropping abit due to slow subs or the story boring me a bit. queensblade and Hatsukoi Limited being my guilty pleasures

Regio ep20, haha that pretty damn brutal when Fonfon get serious the enemy knows about it... and while im not a fan of this sort of character when they are clearly the strongest around but holds back all the time, it just sort of works for me. Hope this Grendan stuff will give him some challenges. Also more Felli please.

Sadly that's the case with the vast majority of mecha movies (Bandai are the worst for it). The Eureka 7 movie promised a new story but looking at the trailer, it uses a huge amount of TV footage (it'll probably be like the Rahxephon movie, telling a different story in the same settings). I'd expect the Macross F movie to be the same.

Anyways i'm up to about episode 60 and loving every second of it, it's so refreshing having a serious show that doesnt have half naked pre-pubescent girls jumping all over the place with panty shots and their infuriatingly high pitch voices

Edit: Gintama 89 - lol, Okita's "Sadist Mode: Change" animation was hilarious. I really need to find a animated gif of Okita doing his Grudge noise from an earlier episode, that had me crying with laughter

One Piece ep404 - been waiting to see this bit animated, to bad it wasn't a 2 parter as ep405 is really needed to finish off the end of the SuperNovas arc

where the strawhats suffer total defeat which amoung my fav shounen anime/manga moments(heck aboat load of One Piece moments are). There already ina OH!SH!T moment when Kizaru turnsup let alone a couple of PX's and the sumo guy... then to have the real Kuma turn up was OH!FvCK, heck i forgot that bit with Sanji getting a Closeup Blast through the chest had me

i know its not really current but i just finished watching kannagi. really nice surprise for me, suspected it would just be "ok" but turned out to be quite nice as well as manage a few gintama level funny moments.

ive come away annoyed though. i honestly cant think of the last anime series that ends properly with the right girl (in kannagis case, tsugumi). hoping for a second season of this once the manga gets back on track, but yeah, where are my happy satisfying endings?

pretty sure a second series has already been announced.

As for endings the end of Eden of the East was rather sudden, it just seemed to have gotten going then it just ended rather abruptly. I know there's 2 films due to carry on the story, but i think the ending still could have been handled a lil better.

Im also still on my Gundam marathon, currently working through ZZ. I didnt realise ZZ was meant to be more light hearted than 079 and Zeta, makes for a nice change of pace tho.
