Poor Kimi, bet he is a gutted as can be. Ferrari have some hard choices to make.

Superb stuff. I managed to get a live stream with 18 laps to go. Roll on Monza!

Great entertainment in the final laps, Hamilton and Raikonnen skidding all over the place. Can't believe how much time Heidfeld and Alonso made up after pitting. If they'd be able to stop a lap earlier they would have been in contention for victory.

Incredible race at the best circuit in Formula 1. Not that right result for a Kimi fan like me but still good. I actually really enjoyed the tactical battle in the middle of the race, really intense between KR anfd LH, trading tenths each lap. Last couple of laps were insane.

Kimi has to be one of the unluckiest drivers ever and when LH makes mistakes it never seems to cost him. Still, them's the breaks, eh? I don't expect he'll give up, just like last season, you never know what might happen but the McLaren is the best car at the moment and Hamilton always keeps his composure.

Is Nick Heidfeld auditioning for the part of Barry Gibb in a Bee Gees tribute band? Uncanny.

What? You mean like at the last 2 races of the 2007 season when it handed Kimi the title? Or that Lewis would have been leading the race if he hadn't spun on the second lap today? When it came to the wet conditions, Kimi was outdriven.

Fantastic end to the race, shame it was Kimi that hit the wall rather than Massa though

If I were the cynical type I might suggest that after the stewards enquiry McLaren will be punished in some way by the FIA so that their precious Ferrari will inherit the win.

So gutted for Raikkonen, you could feel his determination to try and win this race and prove that he's still hungry for this title, his move on Massa at the beginning just showed that. After the second pitstop he seemed really slow though. I'm suprised not many drivers like Massa didn't put on inters! He would have definately won if he did that, just look at Heidfeld! Bourdais put in a good drive, was slightly ruined at the end but I think he deserves a drive for next year, people forget that he would have score more points at the first round if it weren't for his engine failure.

Hamilton stripped of his win and demoted to third.

F1 screws over mclaren again, Hamilton has been demoted 25 seconds pushing him into third. Ferrari nearly ram a driver into a wall and they get 10k fine.

                      F1 stinks at times.

He made no attempt at the corner and gained track position even though he learned from his past mistake.

Although I think it's a bit dodgy considering the track conditions and spectacle it is the right decision.

Heikki's stop and go was questionable as well considering Coultard has done the same all season and received no penalties (that I can remember).

Ha ha ha, I nearly said this earlier but thought I'd get shouted down. He definitely did get an advantage and only just let Kimi back through while making it virtually certain he'd retake the lead immediately . However, given the conditions and the fact that Kimi got similar advantages by going off track (like at the first corner) I didn't think they'd do anything. I'm sure McLaren will appeal.

He let kimi back through so how the hell did he get an advantage? If he had tried to carry on around the chicane then both of them would have been taken out.

Plenty of people in the F1 circus have accused officialdum of being ferrari biased. But then putting someone nearly into a wall isnt as bad obviously as going over a chicane to avoid a collision.

Absolute nonsense; I can't believe he's been demoted to third for it. Raikkonen left him nowhere to go and Hamilton let him straight back. Plus, Hamilton would've been past Raikkonen later in the lap anyway after Kimi's repeated spins (not to mention crashing out of the race rendering his track position irrelevant).

Pretty convenient that the penalty puts Massa 2 places ahead of Hamilton in the new classification. How exactly did Hamilton gain an advantage over Massa and Heidfeld by running over the chicane?
