According to the F1 official site 62 days and some change till the first race.

Thought about which fantasy site we are going to go with this time? I fancy giving you all a good spanking again.

Whether you look at it as 8.8 weeks or 62 days, it's still too far away! Will be really interesting to see if the new regs actually shake things up or if it'll still just be McLaren and Ferrari leading BMW with a free-for-all behind them.

I think the cream always rises to the top, to some degree, so expect Ferrari and Mclaren to be up there. Macca of course often get it wrong, and may suffer from the infamous 'odd year' (winner followed by dog) curse but on the strength of the last ten seasons, history and form suggests that Ferrari will be in the fight. Could BMW step up this year? How about Renault, to reclaim the glory days of '05 and '06?

Anyway, we are at the end of Jan, yet another 8 weeks to go. That's scandalous....

James Allen's web diary thingie. He not the most popular person maybe but writes a decent blog.

He 100% convinced that Fernando is off to Ferrari for 2011 or even next year, if Kimi's twin brother keeps turning up to races. He also feels that the Renault Group will be next out of the door as their market value is down 90% on last year's, in Euro terms. Ouch...

Great pic Al, extra wide front wing is either going to mean wings getting damaged regularly or drivers being extra cautious.

Dunno why its so late this year its been around my birthday every year its started for donkeys years as I was always more intrested in F1 starting lol

Old F1 intro chain is fantastic much better music than that ITV trash. The Chain (its about 3mins into song) by Fleetwood Mac was F1 intro for nearly 20yrs. Theirs been a petition going around to get it up again for BBC this year.

I wonder if the Beeb will use the classic Fleetwood Mac music, the only true F1 theme? Difficult as things have moved on since '96, but it's instantly famous too.
