I remember Hamilton saying last year at Monaco that 'I'm glad i'm not at the back with those monkey boys', Button being one of those monkeys.

Well this year it's the other way around you arrogant git. (I think you can tell my dislike towards Lewis).

    Go Button!

Can't stand Kimi, but surely he'll be able to jump into the lead off the line with the KERS.

In 2nd position, his grid placement is so close to the first corner that I can't see Kimi having an advantage as its not long enough to allow KERS to have an effect. The corner will come to quick. Kimi is also heavier with the system, so I expect Button to get in there first.

This thread is empty after qualifying, where is everyone? Especially for the Monaco Grand Prix...

Button is usually better off the line than Kimi also, so expect him to get to the first corner first. Really hope they two don't collide and cause mayhem.

Really thought Lewis had saved his slide, but it wasn't to be, from 16th he'll do well to pick up a point or two (retirements will probably help him more than anything else).

He's starting dead last, they had to chage his gear box so he got a grid penalty.

Pretty boring race, but Button surely has one hand on the WDC trophy now. How hilarious were Piquet's comments about Buemi? Surely he can't have said them with a straight face.

Yeah that was a pretty uneventful race (as it usually is at Monico tbh!) but I enjoyed it all the same. Button parking in the wrong place at the end was probably the highlight!

Lewis showed his car is improved at the end but despite that still had a rubbish weekend. I think we'll see him with the top runners in the next race, but it does seem like Button is an unstoppable machine at the moment...and good on him.

Agreed with the above, Monaco is the most boring race of the season bar the odd crash.

Im quite enjoying the coverage the BBC are providing and without the damn breaks! But Button winning all the time is really getting on my nerves as its quite boring. Even when someone has a sniff of challenging him, like Raikonnen today, someone slow always holds up the rest before the first pit stops and thats it, race over! Happened today with Barichello and several of the races that have gone and it just lets whomever is in front race away.

I know there is more to it than that but its fast becoming a bore to me compared to last season

The lack of breaks on the BBC is great, but Jake Humphrey's too busy trying to bum DC, Johnathan Legard comes across as having about as much F1 knowledge as someone who's never watched it before and Lee McKenzie couldn't possbily ask the drivers more pointless questions. Thank god for Brundle, Kravitz and DC.

Button only has competition from his team mate really, unless Ferrari can apply the pressure at every race until the end of the season Brawn really will walk to both titles. Liked Jenson's dig at Flav after qualifying.

This is like 2005 all over again. Back then Renault produced a blinder of a car, and with their rivals in disarray, Alonso rose to the challenge and demolished the field and his teammate with flawless driving. Button is doing the same now, and he really will take the crown I feel as Rubens won't be allowed to push him, when it comes to the critical stage, as Brawn are not stupid, they won't cut their own throats like Mclaren did in 2007. Vettel didn't help himself yesterday, and he is the most likely WDC contender, unless Ferrari up their game dramatically and soon.

And some drivers need a P45 it seems, like Nakajima for crashing out on the last lap. If Toyota pulls the plug as rumoured, then at least we won't see him next year. A certain Renault driver will be next.
