Lauda says Shumacher should fill the seat, Willi Weber says it won't happen, Ferrari say they're open to the idea and now Schumacher himself says he's considering it.

Silverstone has replaced Donington as the 2010 British Grand Prix.

Fantastic news and I wont forget to book a ticket this comming year.

MotoGP, that was announced ages ago. You didn't know?

From your post I thought that Donny had officially (we all know it's going to happen) failed to get ready in time so the F1 was back at Silverstone!

Can I let you into a secret? I posted that thinking it was the F1 Calendar for the 2010 season, and completely missed the title informing me it was Moto GP...

            Sorry about that!

I thought that may have been the case, never mind eh, you'll still be going to Silverstone for the F1 in 2010, I can almost guarantee it!!

Thoughts are with Massa, and fingers crossed he can get back to racing again at some point - Hakkinnen had a terrible accident but was able to come back from a somewhat similar injury.

I think he came back a better driver actually.

The rumours are getting stronger that Schumi might be back for a few races.

Michael, please don't do it. You have everything to lose and little to gain. Anything other than being faster than Kimi and beating him will be seen as a negative.

                      STOP PRESS:

I've just seen a newsflash on the BBC website saying BMW have called a press conference for 1000 this morning. The speculation is that they are going to announce that they are pulling out of F1 from next season, and personally I can't see it being anything other than that.

I may have egg on my face later on today, but this wouldn't surprise me. Question is: where would Kubica go for next year?

                        Yep.

What a shame, but I can't help but feel they blew it last season by stopping the development of the car.

Kubica at Renault would be interesting.

It also said on the BBC that this could be an opening for other teams to leave F1 ie. Renault and Toyota, so don't be surprised to see some big names in the smaller newer teams next year

If BMW bail, will one of the new teams that applied but were rejected get another shot?

I didn't see this one coming... I expected BMW to be more commited to F1...

it's a shame to see them leave, they for sure have the potential to be big contender for the championship...
