that's great news for Renault (and especially the Spanish fans!) Alonso will be happy I guess

MotoGP was a stunner again, too bad for Lorenzo though, I thought it would become an epic battle again between him and Rossi... Bad situation for the championship now (Stoner out, Lorenzo 0 points again..) , I can't see Lorenzo catching up with Rossi this season, and Rossi is smart enough to not make any big risc with the championships in his mind.

Might do if he's on the GP9

Ducati has made Jorge Lorenzo a lucrative multi-million pound offer to quit Yamaha. Desperate to sign a top rider while the future of Casey Stoner remains the subject of intense speculation, Marlboro has offered the 22-year-old a bumper £13m two-year deal. MCN understands Lorenzo had further talks with Phillip Morris executives in Brno on Sunday night, though the Spaniard insists his first choice is to remain in Yamaha’s factory squad.   Marlboro is ready to bankroll a swoop for Lorenzo with the tobacco giant anxious to capture a big name should Stoner’s health issues drag on. Stoner is undertaking a period of complete rest to try and regain fitness for a planned return to action at the Estoril round in Portugal in early October.   Lorenzo said: “Ducati is an option. The important is to have a bike that can win the championship. It seems the Yamaha is the best right now,” A decision from Lorenzo is imminent, with his manager Marcos Hircht revealing a decision could be made as early

That would be very interesting indeed, but also a big gamble for Lorenzo to move over to Ducati as we've seen some of the top riders having big problems with the Duc... I think Ducati will be very nerveus when Stoner won't recover to his old form, then they have no rider that can get the bike to the front of the pack...

I think Lorenzo want's to beat Rossi no matter how and that he maybe has biggest chance on a different machine developed completely to his taste.... so I was hoping Lorenzo was going to make the move to Honda, but with Pedrosa and Dovisiovo confirmed by Honda for next that is not going to happen... I think Lorenzo and Honda would be a good combination of trying to beat Rossi on the Yamaha..

Oh well, we'll see what he does, I think the whole MotoGP paddock is waiting for his decision.

Good race at the weekend. Shame for Lorenzo, I think he's good and the battles with Rossi are top notch. It is risky moving to Ducati though.

Interesting fuel loads. Looking forward to this. Hopefully it won't be a total bore fest like last year.

Well, this is f**king boring isn't it? Totally forgot about this from last year. I'll be stunned if there are any mid-race overtakes on the circuit unless someone sticks it in the barriers.

Some good on board shots from Hamilton's car through the last few corners. That must be fun FOR THE DRIVERS.

Seriously, street circuits suck the big one. I can't wait for next time out at Spa, a proper circuit.

Some more corkers from Legard again this weekend. I loved qualifying yesterday when he failed to register that Hamilton was the last one to start a flying lap and then didn't immediately realise that Hamilton was on pole when no one set a faster lap, without Hamilton having to complete his last lap.

During the race today on Button letting Webber through "Perhaps we'll pick it [the overtake] up later". But Jonathan, we all f**king saw it on screen while you were drivelling on about nothing. What an r-tard.

That is possibly the dullest track I've ever had the misfortune to see (missed it last year). It also looked like they were racing through an industrial estate. Chucking in a couple of fancy buildings and a beach doesn't really disguise it that well.

Nevertheless I'm over the moon for Rubens.

The race was way more exciting than last year's. The track is terrible though, no one will dispute that. I don't think it was boring once the order started changing which didn't happen last year. Whitmarsh at the end defending Mclaren's awful pit stop was funny too.

Still, good to see Suzuka will still be on the calendar, fantastic track that is.

great to see Suzuka staying for another 3 years !! one of the best race tracks on the planet ! it's like Spa, a real drivers circuit

last sunday was quite a boring race, nice win for Rubens though he deserved it.

What is it about Spanish tracks? They are the most boring in the world!! We're all used to Barcelona being a total yawnfest, and Valencia is even worse.

I'm amazed that it was possible to find a more boring venue than the Nurburgring for the European grand prix. Gutted that we've got another 5 years to put up with.

                                Bring on Spa! Proper track.
