I'd never heard of it before either, must be one of the worst Motor Racing "disaster's" ever

Just happened to put on ITV this morning and Katherine Legge was being interviewed live from Indy. I hadn't seen the crash before. Must've given her Dad a bit of a shock (he goes to all her races). Only a bruised knee? Wow.

Massa will drop ten places due to an engine change penalty.

I'll fully expect him to start 11th now as he can go super light to get a good time and then fill up and go long as he's starting outside the top 10. Will be tricky for them to play it out exactly but I'm sure that's what they'll aim for.

Also, it's been raining during the free practice sessions so those that didn't get out early in the dry will now have a tricky time choosing a tyre for tomorrows quali.

What a great race! Schu now leads the WDC as he has the most wins. As a Fernando fans that makes me want to Of course credit to MS for a super drive that took advantage of Renault's problems.

No doubt MS will be proclaimed the star of the race but for me it was FA considering his tyre problems and pitstop.

          Next stop Suzuka.

            It was a cracking race!

I thought MS would be on a damage limitation exercise today. Really didn't expect him to win - especially when Alonso was 25 seconds ahead at one point. As you say peanuts, it was Alonso's second pitstop that made the difference.

As a MS fan my weekend has been

I'm just waiting for Renault to bring out a book

"How to throw away a 25 second lead and race win in one easy step"

              Great race and result.

A bit like Ferrari and their best selling 'How to botch a points finish in Hungary when your title rival is already on the plane home'.

And MS can now take the WDC in Japan if he wins and FA DNFs. Considering the way things are going for FA at the mo, that really wouldn't surprise me.

If MS does pip it, surely it must be the biggest points overhaul in the history of the WDC?

I went on to itv.com/f1 to see when the race was on and noticed the result

bit gutted cuz now i know whats going to happen.

Shame for Torro Rosso i thought i was going to see a suprise podium for them, as qualifying for them was brilliant.

it was a good race, and what I feared happend.... MS won the race, but he did it in style... FA was the fastest but he made the wrong choice of tyres during his pitstop and afcourse having the problem with his rear wheel during the 2nd stop...

Raikonen must be glad he's going to leave McLaren for a car that gets to the finish line...

Suppose Alonso isn't thinking about next year yet, but unless they (McLaren, Mercedes) can sort out reliability he can kiss goodbye to winning the WDC next year.

I think next year will be between him and KR. Of course the BS advantage will play into Ferrari's hands and we could see a repeat of '04, i.e a red wash. The question with Kimi of course is will he be able to adapt to his new car ? I reckon Massa may give him a hard time in the opening rounds.

I'm looking forward to next year. There are some very promising new drivers about and some interesting team changes. But that's next year. For this year - COME ON MICHAEL!!!

I liked Martin's comment about KR on the grid today. Something like, "let's see if we can get a couple of words out of Kimi - or maybe even three".

And sorry about the smilie overdose in my last post - was a wee bit excitable!

Good race - enjoyed it a lot, nice to see Buttons moves at the end too, took no prisoners there eh!

How unlucky is Kimi? If something can go wrong for him it does. I think he should have won today if it wasn't for the unreliability again. Hopefully this should not be a problem next year.

Good race though with lots of incident, you have to love the rain.

F1 has been really good this year, haven't had a year seeing so many teams competitive.

Im taping the next two races, as i taped china today.

I think renault will probably take a step back, and i think mclaren will defo be back on form.

Red bull and toro next year might be suprise because of the newey car & engine deals, even spyker could be with the ferrari engines.

Just going to be great next year, think williams are going to fade like jordan though at the moment.

China highlight was at the end for the battle for 4th-7th places, big shame for nick id be pissed off too. But them back markers really Fooked that up, Buttons on fire.
