How dare you! DC is a gentleman on and off the track.

So now we're virtually back where we were before the FIA enquiry.

For a professional driver lack of motivation shouldn't get in the way of concentration, especially around other drivers. The guy seems to have issues when in the pack, he's a liability. It was only a few years ago Brundell was calling him dangerous. He's also supremely **** in the rain, which I think is a true test if drivers skill. Schumacher could race in the rain like it was dry, and Hamilton has also shown that kind of skill earlier in the year. I'd say a fair percentage of his performance comes from the car and the team.

Massa isn't the complete package like Alonso, for example. Amazing from pole to win but useless in the midfield. He can't expect to be WDC unless he can't sort out that problem.

LOL, I thought exactly the same thing!

'Twas a great race last night but must be said that the SC helped turn it into a thriller. Why do so many tracks these days lack overtaking opportunities? Without Piquet's crash it would've been a bore fest, like Valencia. Bernie is happy though, the money grabbing $$$$

He's been making mistake left-right-and-centre following his relegation to the rear of the pack.
That was me m8 hes stunning when hes on pole and goes off but he is just no good at overtaking for position so if hes not first hes a waste of space. Kimmy just doesnt seem to care since he got his title.

Ive mentioned it before but I just dont feel the love for F1 at moment since the Ferrari departing holy trinity of Braun, Todt and Shummy and they seem to make some terrible errors. I dunno what the heck they where playing at yesterday with the fuel pump being in and then released for no reason it cost em for me the whole drivers championship. They need Alonso in a Ferrari for me to give a damn anymore and I dont really care who goes massa or kimmy as their both just average. Alonso and Vettel would be great I think. Wasnt keen on the actual track, looks out of this world but its a very poor overtaking circuit and if it wasnt for safety cars it would have been a right reach for ffwd on sky +

Go Alonso! My favourite driver in the sport. I too hope he joins Ferrari.

I'm the opposite, I fell back in love with F1 when Schumacher left. Obviously he's an exceptional driver, but the sport was really at its most boring when he was dominating it.

I like Massa, so I'd rather see Alonso take Raikkonen's seat since Kimi seems to care even less about F1 than I do about him. I know Ferrari just resigned the pair of them for 2010, but we all know these contracts can be broken when money talks and there was a story this week about a Spanish sponsor (allegedly) willing to pay out the remainder of Raikonnen's contract if they sign up Alonso...

I'm loving F1 right now because Ferrari are in turmoil and it's hopefully looking like a McLaren and Hamilton win this season.

FA and Ferrari have the potential to sweep all before them. It must happen for the sake of the sport. We (I) don't want Lewis 'The Legend' Hamilton cruising to easy titles because the red team can't get its act together.

Ferrari must have been worried of the threat Kimi would pose at another team in 2010 - can't think of another reason they have resigned him. He probably would have retired at the end of 2009 otherwise. Very strange situation. Wasn't Alonso's biggest fan until this year, but he has grown on me and must admit (now) that seeing him behind the wheel of a Ferrari would be special.

Surely he (KR) would retire at Ferrari though, such is his apparent level of interest in his occupation. Or maybe Mclaren will wake up and realise that Kovi will never cut it and try to build burnt bridges and bring Nando back. Unlikely though.

I do remember Kimi saying that he would like to retire at Ferrari. Can't see Alonso ever going back to McLaren, not sure if they made a smart move by resigning Kovalainen so quickly.

Seems to be a strong rumour that Coulthard will be a integral part of the BBC commentary team. Least they're going for the technical rather than celebrity angle (assuming it's true).
