Good drive by Jenson Button and Kubica in particular, but you've got to smile at the pro-Button analysis on BBC after the race.

Button and Alonso were at fault at the first corner and ruined Schumacher's race, but that seems to have been forgotten. Funny how Webber was getting blamed by Martin Whitmarsh ('that Australian bloke again') even though he wasn't even involved.

And Hamilton's petulence on the radio, and after the race (and yes his emotions and adrenalin will be running extremely high I know) just reminds me why I will never really warm to him. 'Whose call was it. Terrible idea...' blah blah just focus on your race mate.

Anyway, great race after Bahrain and I'm happy for Button and Kubica as that was two excellent drives out there.

Hamilton drove a superb race, I could understand his frustration. He could have conducted himself better but it did highlight how bad the overtaking situation is in dry conditions.

Webber was crazy all race but it added to the drama, he is way behind Vettel in all areas but luck it would seem.

Button was a class act, hopefully putting an end to any doubts over his skill as a racing driver and his PR role as world champ.

Awesome to see Kubica back up there, I don't think he'll be there again soon unless the conditions come to him again, but I think the Renault team will be the cause of a few surprises through the season.

Alonso was incredible today, Massa was fortunate (and correct) to hold his position.

A fantastic race, but no doubt the powers at the top will claim that they were right not to change anything, despite Lewis clearly demonstrating the issues in the last few laps.

Malaysia next week, another Tilke borefest although the chance of rain could spice things up a bit. So long as it doesn't get rained off again...

It was a good race afterall! Hamilton was quite unlucky to get whacked by Webber but I agree he shouldn't have spat the dummy about the tyre change. It'll be interesting to see how a full dry race works out.

excellent race ! and a great job from Button, he took a brave decision by going so early on slick tyres and it payed off. Vettel must be gutted, 2 sure victories taken away from him by car failure.. but did you guys see the onboard footage of his qualy lap ?! amazing !

Now that's more like it! Muuuuch more interesting race.

Hopefully there is some rain next week to make the boring track more interesting

Always is a good race at Melbourne, let's see what happens next week though.

I thought Lewis was awesome to be honest, i'm warming to him more and more this last year or so.

                Him and Alonso were immense.

Racing car fuel tanks don't explode even when punctured these days. Well, in sensible racing series that aren't based in America anyway.

I wonder how good Lewis's chances will be once his entire support team hates his guts - that won't take long the way he goes on.

I like how he made himself out to be the best driver of the race and it was his team that stuffed it for him - good driving doesn't just consist of harassing the people in front of you as he seems to think, you also need to be able to preserve your tyres. Alonso did a far better job.

                        MotoGP goes HD for 2010

No sign of the BBC or British Eurosport jumping on the bandwagon as of yet though :S

I thought Eurosport showed some of the rounds on their HD channel last year.

No idea what channel 301 is on Freeview, but it's showing the F1 practice. I suspect it's some spin off of the red button (but without the menus).

301 is just what it goes to when you press the red button...
